Ever been stood up?: Yes… by friends and clients and ugh

Ever been to Vegas? Yeah! Several times. Though I’ve never been to any Vegas shows. Or stayed in any swanky hotels. Or pretty much done anything classically Vegas except for eaten at a couple buffets and walking the strip once (which was miserable). I’m always driving through or going to anime conventions.

Favorite pair of shoes?: I only have two pairs of shoes… my nike sneakers and my dress shoes for work. Between those, I guess it’s the sneaks? :/ I really like flip flops, but they’re terrible for my dry skin, so I don’t own any anymore. 

Favorite fruit?: hmmm… bananas

Favorite books: Ender’s Game – Orson Scott Card, also the 4th TMNT graphic novel

Stupidest thing I’ve ever done: uhhh… put all of our savings into buying a house when I knew that my boss at the time was acting kind of sketchy, probably? We still have not recovered from that, even all these years later. T__T

Nicknames: Gab, Gabapple, Gabbins, Gabs, Gabbers, etc. etc.. all of the ‘Gab’ names you can think of, really. I am also often called Conan, Hakuba, Haru, Shu…  🙂 I suspect that I may end up adding Viktor or Phichit to this list eventually, but Sam was my official nickname in jr high.

Height: 5′6″
Orientation: Demi like woah. 
Ethnicity: White like wonder bread. 😐 Though, rumor has it that there is a tiny sliver of Native American in the family tree. It just wasn’t exactly ~*~ kosher ~*~ so there aren’t detailed records. 
Fruit: Blueberries, bananas, strawberries… I like to mix them all together! :9
Season: Autumn, definitely.
Flower: Tiger lilies and carnations. 
Smell: Fresh rain on hot grass. 
Colour: I suck at answering this question. Mediterranean blue? Sage green? Crimson? Grey????

Yes and no! gabapple is where I post all of the art and I still use it, but I follow way too many people to keep up with…  gabapplewrites is more for non-art updates and reblogs of writing stuff, with a much much smaller follow list…

5 facts about me:

  1. I’m allergic to cucumbers. A lot. Even the scent makes my skin itch. Can’t touch it without it feeling like a burn. No shampoos or lotions or anything with cucumber in it allowed! Pickles, on the other hand… No problem whatsoever. Vinegar wins again!
  2. It is really hard for me to pick a ‘favorite’ of anything because I like too many things and context changes everything. Which is really annoying. 
  3. I love singing, and I’ve been in lots of choirs and vocal groups, but still have trouble reading sheet music. Probably doesn’t help that I can’t play an instrument to save my life. It just all turns into math and then I get so confused. 
  4. Disneyland is my #1 most favorite place in the world… and I haven’t been in 7 years. Sob. (first world problems, I know)
  5. I’ve only ever kissed one person… and that would be my husband, whom I met online in 1999 on a pokemon roleplaying group, and married in 2006. No regrets.

Hmm… I think I had a goldfish before we got our dog, Charlie.

Ehhhh… … … hot chocolate? Low fat chocolate milk? I’m allergic to it, so it’s gotta be more something else than chocolate. I do like chocolate when it’s with, like, peanut butter or caramel, but even then… 

3. Do you know any Japanese, and if so what was the first word you learned?

I took two years of it in high school and barely remember any of it… my first word was probably ‘arigato,’ I think.

Very orangey-orange. Maybe a touch more red than yellow, but bright and vibrant and easy to put black or white text on it… a really halloweeny orange.
