Kazakhstani figure skater and 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Bronze Medalist, Denis Ten, was the main inspiration for the creation of the character of Otabek Altin. He passed away on 19 July 2018. The Denis Ten Foundation was founded by his parents, Oxana and Yurii Ten, in order to preserve his legacy and continue to develop the many projects which Denis had begun during his life, including the establishment of the Denis Ten International Figure Skating Academy.

Gab is a full-time graphic designer, but with every other spare moment, she’s continually working on her goal of becoming a published author/illustrator in the children’s market. At least, when she’s not buried under more Yuri!!! on Ice fan projects. She’s best known in the fandom for being the co-writer of Never Look Away (NLA) and Vitya Diaries, but she does quite a bit of fan art, too.

It’s Christmas Day–Victor’s birthday–and he’s completely, utterly alone. He stays at the practice rink long after his rinkmates, and when he’s finally too exhausted to do one more jump or spin, he doesn’t want to go home just yet, so he takes a different path home than normal, He comes across an outdoor skating rink, where he happens to see a beautiful man skating his Stammi Vicino routine. Enthralled, Victor decides he has to meet him, but decides to hide his face because…well. He’s Victor.
Notes: This is an alternate meeting fic, occurring on Christmas day a few weeks after the GPF in Sochi. In this AU, after Yuuri bombed at the GPF, he refused to go to the banquet, so Yuuri and Victor never met or danced with each other that night, and Yuuri never asked Victor to be his coach. Yuuri still placed very badly at Japanese nationals, and therefore didn’t qualify for worlds.Tl;dr: Victor’s a huge dork and pines away for Yuuri, there’s mistaken identities, ballet…all the good stuff.

I went to university first to do animation, but then switched to illustration and was working on a double major (illustration/english), which I have yet to finish lol. But I did a weekly web comic for 2 years, which helped with my skills, and have always mostly drawn animals… which is why I draw so much Makkachin.
