Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery within the US, and 2-4 internationally! After that, reach out if it hasn’t been delivered and we’ll work with you to get it figured out.
PDFs will be emailed out on May 20th, and leftover sales will open mid-june!
So I’ve only done it a couple of times (I want to do it more, but I haven’t made time for it), but I can definitely point you at some resources! It’s a lot of fun and it’s deceptively simple. The big key is PATIENCE… you want to use a small brush and paint each of the flocked hairs on the figure with thin coats of acrylic paint and build up the color very slowly so that it never gets heavy or clumped.
Here’s the post where I turned my little white baby bunny into a dutch rabbit.
This post shows how I turned the grey tabby cat into an Egyptian fruit bat (MUCH more involved with a LOT more photos)…
Neither of these really explain the process much, of course, but don’t worry- I GOTCHU… there are many others who have made brilliant custom Calico Critters (otherwise known as Sylvanian Families), such as this Cheetah Family, explained in great detail. That should give you a fantastic start where my posts are lacking…
AND… if that isn’t enough, there’s an entire community for the Sylvanian Family/Calico Critters, which has a forum for DIY, and lots more fun projects that you can explore, right here: http://sylvanianfamiliesforum.co.za/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=13
Please go and enjoy! They’re all very friendly and wonderful. 🙂
Let me know if you have any more questions after reading these and I’ll do my best to help… and please share photos when you’re done! I’d love to see what you do!

Earlier this year WB made it clear that Wonder Woman will not be left out of the marketing. So far we have:
Her front and center in two magazine covers
She’s getting her own statue, just like Batman and Superman
As well as her own Barbie Doll next year
And oh look, we’re also getting
A wonder woman shirt
Her own hat
Hot wheel toys
Another doll
And more
And in the last two trailers we have these gems
And oh look, she’s right in the middle of a Trinity shot again
And after many years and many delays there’s finally gonna be a Wonder Woman movie
So how about giving a lovely round of applause to Warner Bros. and DC for actually keeping their word and making sure their top iconic female superhero get the first class treatment she deserves?
Keep it up WB/DC!
243,189 words later and Hakuba has finally made an appearance. I present to you the first paragraph that I ever wrote for my favorite british detective:
… Meanwhile, the dark permeated everything that a young detective knew. Saguru Hakuba became aware of the cold cement as soon as he regained consciousness. He did so in a way that allowed him to maintain his slumped posture, eyes closed and head drooped with his chin against his chest. Doing so allowed him to observe without calling attention to himself. The pain and pressure on the back of his head confirmed that he had, indeed, been hit by that blighter in the study. Where he was now was indeed a mystery, but not so alarming as one might think.
