Our insurance plan is changing in January, and I’ve got my fingers crossed that the lymphedema clinic near my apartment will be covered this time around. The bands will help, but the therapy will do even more. I’m excited. Soon, soon, soon…

We’ve also going to start saving so I can get a cintiq (companion 2) in the next year so I can do a LOT more (digital) art without the risk associated with desk-sitting. Which also means more comic, because I can prepare the art ahead of time and use my lunch break at work for the text stuff! Yay!

Just gotta be patient and hope things keep looking up. More art! More art! Woo!

FAVORITE ANIME: HMMMmm… Ouran High School Host Club is first, then it’s a tie between Cowboy Bebop/Detective Conan/Neon Genesis Evangelion/Excel Saga/Pokemon/FREE!… 

FAVORITE MANGA: Detective Conan is the only one I’ve ever really kept up on, so that I guess.

VIDEO GAMES: Hamtaro Ham-ham Heartbreak and Pokemon: Fire Red! Best games. Then Smash Bros. I also like Minecraft and Little Big Planet on occasion.

SPORTS: I liked playing tennis, oddly enough… In all sports I did in school, I was usually pretty good at the point of the game (making baskets, hitting/kicking the ball, etc), but terrible at running, which made me awful at every sport but, like, bowling.

LAST SONG I LISTENED TO: The Teen Titans theme song.

FIRST LANGUAGE: English.

My NaNo is now at 22k… which isn’t 50k, but still excellent progress. Many thanks to my writing buddies who helped me with sprints and word wars. <3 ;-;

And now I will work a little more on my million novel/au playlists before bed. 

I sketched a shirtless Hakuba earlier today… but it’s not finished so idk if I’ll post it, and I ran out of paper again in my clipboard so I’ll probs leave it at home when I refill it tonight…

Speaking of AUs, when I scrub off Bunnichi’s serial number, I think I’ll call him Adder. Cap’n can sweet talk him with Addy or Addie~ aww.

ALAS… no, I am not at the moment. I have a very long post here explaining why, but the “short version” is this:

  • I owe too many people art already 
  • I’m very behind on my personal projects (DANGEROUS CUTE!!!)

And… I can’t really work on either of those right now because I have lymphedema as a side effect of cancer treatments years ago, and have been unable to afford the stuff I need to manage it. Sitting at a desk to do digital art aggravates the condition and puts me more at risk for things like micro tears and blood clots, which could result in death. It’s also really painful, especially after I work an office job for 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week, and usually have to stand for the 30min train ride home. 

But hopefully I will be able to afford treatments in the next couple of months, and that will enable me to get back to work on these things, get caught up, start preparing for conventions again, livestream sessions, etc. 

This is also why all of my art lately has been really crappy cell phone photos of sketches on paper… because I would have to sit at my desk to use my scanner. Whew.
