Conan Edogawa, all classic-Gab style with chunky, janky lines. He’s got a pink scarf because Ran buys him all of his clothes, poor thing. And LOOK, his glasses are in his pocket!!! So I drew his glasses for once. Just not on his face.

BTW Conan Sunday is coming back.

And just ‘cause I’m feeling awesome, here are the invites I’ve made for previous Conan parties. Then I got lazy. But I’ll fix that for the next one in… November? December? What do we have planned, Krista?

Aaron let’s adopt a little Japanese boy, okay?

We can name him whatever you want as long as his middle name is like Arthur or something.

yes good this is the plan

HOUSTON! WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!

Volume 43 has been set to come out on July 10th for months!! Based on the previous release schedule, if we all came out and bought like we did for volume 39, 40, and 41 we had a good chance of it appearing on the NY Times Bestseller manga list.

But now, a certain shojo title from Kodansha’s release date has been moved from the 3rd to the 10th making it increasingly difficult for Case Closed to compete.

We were already set to compete against Naruto volume 57 that week, but another popular manga will push down the chance of Case Closed making the top 10 list.

So my plea, Case Closed, Detective Conan fans, is that we all buy volume 43 the first week it comes out.

We need to continually show VIZ there is a high interest in the series.

Gosho Aoyama, just earlier this week, declared that it is highly likely Detective Conan will go past the 100 volume mark.

We won’t see them if it is not profitable for VIZ to release them.

So please guys, buy Case Closed Volume 43 between July 10th and 14th.

Rightstuf.com has this for $7.49 + shipping/handling (economy is only $3), just FYI.

All right guys. These volumes are coming out before the end of the year. Another one will be released in January 2013.

If you want more Detective Conan/Case Closed volumes out sooner? Then we all need to put our money where our fandom love is and skip out on those things like food.

Volume 43 – out July 10, 2012 – includes two thrilling Heiji and Kazuha cases, one of which contains a moment that proves Heiji is sensitive to the feelings of those around him.

Volume 44 – out October 9, 2012 – this is a must buy for all Kaitou Kid fans. This is a case I’ve been waiting for since VIZ announced they’d be releasing the manga. This case made me a Kid fangirl at heart. Also, it doesn’t hurt that this volume contains one of Shinichi’s most poignant moments in his life as Conan along with a cute Takagi & Satou case.

Volume 45 – out January 8, 2013 – This volume contains the conclusion to the Teitan High Ghost case and a much needed Detective Mouri case.
