Have a little something I wrote up for Valentine’s Day, AKA a Very Good Boy’s birthday!
This takes place in the universe of my merman AU, also known as Saltwater Melodies, and is set in the past, before the events of the fic. The year is 2013 and Chris has just turned 17!

I drew these a while ago, but decided to make them public since it’s Shinichi’s birthday today and I love him.
The top one is from a storyline that I’m doing with pixel-witchy, the rest are from SPACE AU, which yukitsukihana and I invented and I am developing into a graphic novel (eventually).

still understand and respect that a particular character wouldn’t be into the relationship at that point in time or ever
accept it if the characters never get together in canon
be completely fine with other people not shipping it
not hate the characters’ canon relationships or romantic/sexual partners
realize that being in a sexual/romantic relationship with the other character(s), or with anyone at all, might not be healthy for one or both of the characters
if the characters are already in a sexual/romantic relationship with each other, acknowledge that there are things about that relationship that are fucked up and unhealthy
admit each character’s faults honestly and not excuse them (understanding =/= excusing)
differentiate between what you want to see in canon and what you want to write/read about in fic/see in art
understand that ships serve different needs for different people; not every ship or representation of a ship is about healthy, loving romantic relationships. Some ships are about unhealthy codependency; some are about hatesex. Ships are a way of working out fantasies that we can’t and sometimes shouldn’t fulfill in real life, or about working through real-life fears, hopes, and pains. Writing something is not tantamount to saying “this is 100% awesome”. Sometimes we have to indulge our ids, and that doesn’t mean we get a free pass to not think about issues of representation or ensure that the people reading our fics know what to expect, but it all comes down to, for me, the fact that life is too fucking short and painful to have to feel like shit for what goes on in our heads so long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else.

I found another ‘Koji’ sketch that I had in my SAI files!! Poor Conan. He’s none too pleased about getting a haircut.
CONAN SUNDAY UPDATE #2 (of three).
Remember how I was talking about Conan dying his hair, getting a haircut, tattoo, etc and changing his name to go under cover while under cover? Here are the drawings from that thought experiment. He goes by the name of ‘Koji’, which has no relation to anything else.
The full story-
A few weeks back, CloverKite and I found some awesome Korean (I think) fanart of Conan having been captured by some mysterious figures and being held under observation behind glass… It was a series of images. Kaitou KID watched from the roof or vents or something. I’ll have to find it and link it… I think it was on pixiv.
Anyway, being us, we made up a story to go along with it, and started writing even though we should have been working on EPIC CONAN FANFIC of DOOM. Conan disappears on the way home from school one day, captured by the Black Organization who’s figured out who he is etc. etc. etc torture maim and so on. Kaitou finds out where he is and saves him.
Since Shinichi’s been found out, though, he can’t go back to who he was. He can’t go back to any of his former life or he worries that everyone will be in danger. So Ran, Heiji, Agasa, and so on all believe that Conan’s dead.
Kaito takes him in as his adopted foster brother, going by the name of Koji Watanabe, or now, Koji Kuroba.
And stuff goes relatively well for a while once ‘Koji’ gradually recovers from the trauma… until he runs into Heiji on the street, who immediately recognizes him. Oops.
Shinichi’s parents get involved. Drama ensues. But hey, Kaito gets him a puppy, which he names Gomera. 8)
…and thus ends another episode of Gabapple and Cloverkite need to stop.
ps. Chianti is the one who gave him the tattoo, as a form of torture. I don’t think they expected him to live much longer.
