When can I expect new update for never look away? I’ve been missing it. Sorry if I am seem rude. I didn’t intend to be.

No worries! There’s no harm in asking. 🙂 

Chapter 27 of Never Look Away is currently at 21,000 words and counting, with 7 to-dos remaining, plus beta and revision… I’ve been at a hotel working on it all weekend, and will keep at it as I’m able to between zine projects and my full-time job. I’m REALLY hoping we can post it this week!

In the meantime, have you read Vitya Diaries?  It’s NLA canon and supplementary to the fic. While it’s not necessary to enjoy NLA, it does add to our Viktor’s backstory, and is currently 88,000 words to enjoy! You can find it here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/11799600/chapters/26615346

The Russian zine isn’t updating and is ignoring asks again, do you have any word about it since you’re supposed to be involved?

From what I understand, they’re in the printing process right now, so I’m sure there will be a production update soon! I got to see a couple of page proofs and it looks GORGEOUS. 

As for the lack of communication, I know that the tragic loss of Denis Ten has really hit a lot of the staff hard, so please try to be patient and understanding while everyone works through all of this. 

I’ve sent a message to the staff, though, and they’ll try to get back to you ASAP! It sounds like tumblr may not be notifying people of messages again… I know I didn’t get notified until I logged in, despite telling it to email me. :V 

Minor correction, Never Look Away Chapter 10: “more subtle weedling out of information” -> “wheedling”. Weedle is the Pokémon.

Hey, I love weedle. They turn into Beedrill and are super good at stabbing people. (I am not even going to contest the error; it definitely sounds like one my pokemon-loving butt would make.)

….If people are correcting our spelling/grammar, does that mean that we’ve FINALLY MADE IT?!?!?!??! 🙂 

‘Cause I find errors in our chapters constantly, no matter how many times we go over it. Especially when it comes to formatting. Holy crap. I found a bunch of them today when I was rereading ch 17 for reference and I was just running my hands down my face like “nooooooo whyyyyyyyyy” – so you’ve really got your work cut out for you, anon.

Holy!!!!!!!!! Shit!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy fucking shit!!!!!!!!! Never Look Away is literally my favorite thing right now I just discovered it and read the first 8 chapters in one sitting and am going onto Ch. 9, and just WOW!!! This is amazing I love it so much o/

Fandom meme: Magic Kaito~~

GASP. Magic Kaito, not DC? Interesting! Okay, here we go:

The first character I first fell in love with: Hmm… to be honest, I didn’t read any of Magic Kaito until I’d learned that Hakuba was in it, so… Hakuba. But if we’re talking characters that are Not Hakuba, then Akako! 

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Aoko. It took me a very, very long time to warm up to her, but I do like her now, quite a bit. It took writing her to really understand!

The character everyone else loves that I don’t:  Kaito… straight up Kaito. I have come to enjoy some interpretations of him, and I liked him well enough in the Magic Kaito 1412 show, but there are some freaking annoying things that he does and I HATE HIM IN DC. 

The character I love that everyone else hates: Hakuba, though I think there are more Hakuba supporters out there than I know. 

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Hmmm… idk I went into the series not liking Kaito, and most everyone else is pretty harmless in the series. 

The character I would totally smooch: Geez. Hakuba or Akako, probably. Though I’d be more likely to hug them. And then I’d hug Aoko. And Keiko. And push Kaito out of a window. 

The character I’d want to be like: Akako is a total bamf, though she does have that whole ‘evil’ streak…   

The character I’d slap: Kaito. Big surprise. 

A pairing that I love: Ugh… I guess I ship Hakuba and Kaito… at least when the Kaito is portrayed correctly… and there is character development… I also like Hakuba and Akako, but only in some settings. 

A pairing that I despise: Despise is pretty strong, but I’m not a fan of Kaito/Aoko… I don’t think he’s good enough for her, and I really think that the attraction is super one-sided. Despite being a perv, Kaito seems very demi at best, and treats Aoko more like a sister. Siblings and super close friends I can 100% get behind, though.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: IDK I don’t like Misty but I’m not sure that anyone really does. Actually, there are tons of really annoying characters all throughout the series…

The character I love that everyone else hates: Ash. 🙂 He’s so dumb. 

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Ash’s mom?? And Professor Oak… actually, lots of people seem to be working against Ash. But I haven’t kept up on the series, so maybe this improves. 

The character I would totally smooch: Professor Sycamore. *COUGH*

The character I’d want to be like: Bonnie. Kehe. 

The character I’d slap: IDK… I don’t want to slap anyone. 

A pairing that I love: Jesse/James

A pairing that I despise: Ash/Misty
