Summary: He thought he had overcome it. He thought he had grown up from the
childish fears of imaginary things lurking in the water. Well, in the
pool – there was always something in the ocean – but there was nothing
at the bottom of the contained space other than textured concrete and
rippling shadows from the surface. Yet, somehow, he couldn’t stop how
his chest weighed heavy even after he’d be done swimming for the day.

I did a bunch of writing in this one!!! 

Once upon a time- about 2004 -I mentioned to… let’s call them an associate… that I really liked red pandas and that I had considered adopting it as my persona. Her response was that they were too cool and popular for me, and that I should stick to the alter ego that I had invented in 7th grade, instead.

I should have known then that it represented a very serious underlying problem that would later crack into a massive chasm between us. c_c
