i’m really sick of the ‘male/female’ natural interest dichotomy. growing up, males are asked to go help fix cars and mow lawns etc. and females aren’t. then, as you get older, men laugh like ‘lol u don’t even know what a radiator is’ and it’s like no we weren’t socialised to ‘like’ that stuff. it’s not because we’re naturally bad at mechanics or physical labour – it’s because we were never taught. they don’t teach us as children but patronize us when, as adults, we don’t know much about it.

I think I reblogged this before but I won’t hesitate to reblog again

I also hate the whole “females aren’t as strong” thing because like

most ‘boys/girls’ grow up with the boys being asked to help lift things or carry things (especially the heavier things) and the girls are left to carry the light shit

I mean how the hell does someone expect girls to get stronger if no one lets them carry things that will, you know, let them get stronger???? That’s like comparing someone who lifts weights to someone who doesn’t – OF COURSE THE PERSON WHO LIFTS IS GOING TO BE STRONGER

‘Everything’s A-Okay’ — Celebrating Asexual Awareness Week

Asexuality is an often invisible and delegitimized way of identifying, with many asexual individuals claiming that the world frames their lack of sexual attraction as a characteristic of being “broken.”

Watch the full video here for more questions and answers with asexual individuals and learn about the discriminations they face.

Asexuality is normal, don’t get mad at us for not wanting to do the do with you. We’re literally doing NOTHING wrong… BC we’re doing nothing at all.
