Why are couples, particularly married couples, still portrayed in so much media as fighting like every single day and having NO common interests, hobbies or tastes, sometimes not even common opinions?
How did they get past the first date?????
Lazy-ass writers going for cheap drama, since they know they need some sort of conflict for story… Which, you know, perpetuates the idea that it’s normal to have a completely selfish and dysfunctional relationship, since many people base their entire reality on what media they consume.
It’s insane.
I know people like that, though, who hate their spouse… Usually, they got married really quick without REALLY getting to know each other, often when they were so young that they didn’t even know who they were themselves, and get stuck.
I’m looking at you, Utah.
