The Pallas´s Cat, also called Manul, is a small wildcat living in the grasslands and steppe of central asia.
It is named after the german naturalist Peter Simon Pallas, who first described the species in 1776.That is the most expressive and gelatinous cat I have ever seen.

My book needs to be perfect by May. I’m on part 2/5. Gotta get all of it written, gaps filled, critiqued, revised, etc… by May. Which I can do.
…or at least I would if my MC would actually TALK TO ME but he’s so emotionally stunted he doesn’t want to say or do anything. Which, you know, for a bit I thought “this can work… this is a good illustration of what PTSD is like…” but even if he doesn’t wANT to discuss things, stuff still HAPPENS that the readers need to know…
We can’t just skip over several months because the book would be over and there would be no resolution???
Maybe if I make spaghetti I can coax him into giving me something.

I woke up with my cat curled up on my stomach and so deeply asleep that I thought he was dead. I had to shake him several times to get him to respond and it felt like he wasn’t breathing! But then he was like “??? oh hey, love me” and snuggled up, purring, and made me pet him.

I hate this. Things like this scare the shit out of me.
Yes a parent should be protective. No they should not STALK their child.
Yes a parent can get upset at a child. No they should not flip out or let their anger make them out of control, or take out their anger on their child.
Yes a parent can lecture and maybe the kid feels like their parent is driving them crazy – but after the last two statements forgive me if I don’t exactly trust these definitions.
A parent should never be their child’s worst nightmare. A pain sometimes, ok, but not a nightmare.
And the idea of a parent “stalking” and “hunting down” their child is horrifying. If you were a good parent, maybe your child would have communicated whereabouts upfront with you already.
And the last statement is the worst. “I will subject you to terror and treat you like my property…. Because I love you!” No one would ever put up with this from a partner, a friend, even a grandparent…. Why is it suddenly okay from a parent?Fuck toxic parenting.
That graphic is basically acting like emotional and psychological abuse is okay as long as it’s framed as “it’s because I love you.” Which is basically part of the abuse cycle.
parents can easily be some of the most frightening kinds of human beings alive and some of them take the deepest pride in being their kids’ worst nightmare…
