Pokémon!

SURE!

The first character I first fell in love with: Ash. Definitely Ash.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: James from Team Rocket.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: IDK I don’t like Misty but I’m not sure that anyone really does. Actually, there are tons of really annoying characters all throughout the series…

The character I love that everyone else hates: Ash. 🙂 He’s so dumb.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Ash’s mom?? And Professor Oak… actually, lots of people seem to be working against Ash. But I haven’t kept up on the series, so maybe this improves.

The character I would totally smooch: Professor Sycamore. *COUGH*

The character I’d want to be like: Bonnie. Kehe.

The character I’d slap: IDK… I don’t want to slap anyone.

A pairing that I love: Jesse/James

A pairing that I despise: Ash/Misty

Crap. If this was pokemorph mush or something I could probably answer these with more confidence. :/

Don’t talk shit about people’s teeth. Seriously.

Speaking as a major dental hygiene enthusiast…

Great-looking teeth come from two things: luck and money (which is also a function of luck).

  • Dental procedures tend to be very, very expensive, and are almost never covered by insurance.
  • Healthy teeth aren’t necessarily big, straight or bright white. Depending on what someone’s natural teeth are like, achieving that look may require a significant downgrade in their dental health; unnecessary crowns and veneers cause damage.
  • Do not underestimate genetics’ role in determining teeth’s appearance, or how prone teeth are to problems. Genes and early development, i.e. things people get zero control over, can outweigh all else.
  • A wide range of chronic conditions impact oral health and teeth’s appearance, too, and may contraindicate various types of work or raise procedures’ cost even more.
  • Finally, for many people and many reasons, celebrity-looking teeth just aren’t a priority (even when they’re attainable; some people might want, y’know, a new car instead).

Regardless, don’t be an asshole. Not even very attractive teeth look good on those.

This goes for the UK as well, dentists aren’t covered on nhs so some people just can’t go.

“Traitor!”

Ok but I feel like this guy knew him and I want that story

Need to know the relationship between Finn, this stormtrooper, and the one that died in Finn’s arms.

I already read a fic that gave the dying trooper designation FN-2003. I need some fanon to fill in the gaps.

I think Finn made friends fast, boy had like six people shouting traitor at different points of the movie.

FN2187 was popular and his defection pierced the hearts of the entire fn troop

YOOOOOOOO I HAVE THE CANONICAL ANSWER FOR THIS AND I’M SEEING ALL THESE TR-8R POSTS I CANNOT STAY SILENT.

Greg Rucka’s Star Wars novel Before the Awakening is A) Quite good and B) Explains much about Finn’s stormtrooper training and social circle leading up to the movie.

In a nutshell:

  • Finn was trained in a squad of four boys: Him (FN-2187), Nines, Zero and Slip.
  • Nines and Zero have nicknames based on their alphanumerical designations (Zero’s is FN-2003, likely used by the ficcer mentioned above, Nines ended in 9s, etc.). Slip was called slip because he was a fuckup.
  • Turns out, most troopers have nicknames
  • Why does FN-2187 not have a nickname? Because nobody really likes him. An older trooper tells him straight to his face: he’s an outsider. It just happens to some troopers.
  • Why is this extra tragic? Is it because Finn’s a shitty trooper? NO. He’s actually top of his little trooper class. He’s the fucking bomb, with a blaster, with tactics, with hand-to-hand weapons. Phasma’s got extremely high expectations for him. (what a fuckin mary sue amirite)
  • So why is this actually extra tragic? What’s Phasma’s one problem with him? Finn cares too much. He cares about keeping his squad alive.
  • He cares about going back for his friends more than the mission objective SOUND FAMILIAR?
  • So Phasma tells him to stop coddling Slip or face consequences. He does.

And then: the skirmish on Jakku. A trooper dies and Finn loses his final shred of faith in the First Order. Who is that trooper? PROBABLY SLIP, IT REALLY SEEMS LIKE. Basically Finn’s brother, even if he never really fit in with his squad.

And then: the first thing Poe does is give him a nickname based on his alphanumerical designation JUST LIKE HIS TROOPER FAMILY, NINES AND ZERO AND SLIP, WHO NEVER LIKED HIM ENOUGH TO GIVE HIM ONE.

IN CONCLUSION the trooper in the gifset above who recognizes Finn on sight (and who has been meme-nicknamed TR-8R) is likely Zero or Nines.

IN CONCLUSION finn my bby D:

This is fantastic. Bless you, @nerdgerhl, and I’m reblogging to pass on this vital canon backstory I didn’t even know existed.

Oh my god why would you DO THIS TO ME

Pst. Do Free, cause, we are always free.

OKAY!

The first character I first fell in love with: Haru, of course. He’s just the sort of character that I immediately latch on to. Obviously.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Nagisa, probably. That character type typically annoys the heck out of me, but I ended up really loving him. Thugisa probably had something to do with that…

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: You know, honestly, I think I like everyone in Free! at least as far as canon goes.  There are certain fan interpretations that make me roll my eyes, but no one in the series is great.

The character I love that everyone else hates: Hmm… a lot of people think that Haru is really whiny (he is), but I doubt most people hate him. TBH, I can’t think of anyone that is downright hated…

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Everyone has managed to maintain their awesomeness.

The character I would totally smooch: EVERYONE would get a kiss on the forehead and a hug. They all need it. Precious babies.

The character I’d want to be like: Rin, maybe.. at least now that he’s calmed the heck down. I admire his confidence and drive, and how he really cares about people.

The character I’d slap: Momo, probs, and tell him to stop being so grabby.

A pairing that I love: Ugh. All of the. Makoharu, Sourin, Reigisa, etc etc etc… I’m really fond of Kisugou, too, which I guess it p unusual.

A pairing that I despise: I don’t know. All of the characters are great, though I’m not fond of hate ships… so the whole RinHaru thing is annoying and I like them MUCH better as friends/rivals. Plus if you have Rinharu you can’t have Makoharu and Sourin and that is just a crime. D:<

Oh I also am strongly opposed to the idea of Kisumi being everyone’s first kiss. Like wtf guys.
