Do you know what I hate??
When I was growing up any time my brother upset/hurt/was rude to or downright nasty to me I was told āheās just doing it to get a rise out of youā āheās just doing it to annoy youā
Like??? I know?? I know heās being mean to upset me. I know heās saying horrible stuff to annoy me. And guess what?? Iām annoyed!!!!
I was literally told not to be upset, because his intentions were to upset me????
How is that not upsetting? Especially to a young girl??
THE GASLIGHTING STARTS EARLY.
Too many parents teach their daughters to shut up about mistreatment rather than teach their sons to not mistreat people. The response I got all the time wasĀ āIf you ignore it heāll get bored and stop.ā No, heāll move on to someone who gives him the reaction he wants. Heās being taught that itās not his job to behave appropriately, itās the womanās job to react appropriately (i.e. ignore him) and if she doesnāt heās free and clear to keep mistreating her.
Oh my god yes
My mother still does this. My brother says stupid racist/sexist/homophobic things and I (rightfully) call him out on it, only for my mom to defend him by saying āheās only doing it to get a rise out of you.ā Like okay, but isnāt it still shitty for him to say things just to upset me?
I also got that my brothers terrorized me to make me tougher, which is also bullshit.
Y’all do this now. A lot. āIgnore them theyāre just trollingā like everyday people tell women to shut up and ignore mistreatment because āthey just wanna get a rise out of youā. And a rise they will get along with some hands.

Draw a throne of cats instead. The throne is made entirely of purring tabbies. They are all loud and rumbly. You sit upon them by day and rule your kingdom, knowing that they will sit upon you by night and rule the bed. They are most loyal. Getting up in the morning will be difficult. They are very rumbly.
I THINK I WILL SAVE THIS IMAGE FOR WORK TOMORROW INSTEAD. OMFG.Ā

Four Presidential candidates sign pledge to void all gay marriages
Four Presidential candidates sign pledge to void all gay marriages
The National Organisation for Marriage ā which was forced to disclose this week that it is secretly funded by Catholic donors ā asked all Republican candidates to pledge support for a new constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman ā voiding the thousands of existing same-sex weddings across all 50 states.
It is also asking them to āprevent the promotion of a redefined version of marriage in public schoolsā ā effectively de-facto banning teachings about same-sex marriage or same-sex couples.
The group also wants them to protect āthe right of organisations and individualsā who disagree with same-sex marriage ā permitting discrimination against same-sex couples.
Incredibly, despite the overtly homophobic measures proposed by the anti-gay group, four of the Republicans vying for the Presidential nomination actually signed the pledge.
Rick Santorum, Senator Ted Cruz, Dr Ben Carson, and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal all agreed with the groupās mission to strip gay people of their basic rights to marriage and protection from discrimination.
It is not a particular surprise from any of the four, all of whom have equally vile records of homophobia.
Carson, who is currently polling second in a field of seventeen, has claimed that equal marriage is a āMarxist plotā and claimed prisons prove being gay is a choice.
Cruz recently branded Ellen Page a āliberal fascistā for asking him about LGBT rights, while Rick Santorum still thinks gay people can be cured, and letting them marry will cause a global crisis.
Jindal, meanwhile, is trying to introduce a law in Louisiana explicitly permitting discriminationĀ against same-sex couples.
Spread their names, remember their pledge, tell everyone. Donāt forget this after election season.
Fuck them so much! what kind of evil monsters are you?! You call yourselves Christians yet the only thing you prove to me is that demons exist. And youāre not possessed, you are the demons themselves. Iām so ashamed that you dare to associate yourself with my God. Disgusting.
This disgusts me.Ā
RICK SANTORUM
TED CRUZ
BEN CARSON
BOBBY JINDAL
Never forget these monstrous people who show us exactly what NOT to do to develop this nation.Ā
Iām wondering when theyāll announce the required display of a sign or emblem on all LGBT people. Pink triangle, maybe?
