Obviously this is the proper attire for a starship captain! (Yes, Starbound)
Colored sketch, SAI… More experimenting that didn’t really work out. Enjoy, though!
Guys, my cute husband draws the cutest things! Love him!

We picked my mom up from the airport tonight. The fog on the freeway was terrifying; we missed the turnoff two or three times. This photo is after we finally got to the airport, which is very well lit!

Tell ‘em.
I dedicate this little number to all those who like to say Disney princesses are nothing but passive, submissive, and horrible role models.
RELEVANT TO CURRENT BLOG EVENTS
I was just screaming about this the other day to Aaron… I’m SO SICK AND TIRED of people belittling Disney princesses like god DAMN guys did you not even SEE THE MOVIE(S)?!
geez
In yet another shocking example of a corporate giant exploiting its workers, employees of a New York City Domino’s claim they were fired from their delivery jobs after complaining to management about unfair wages. According to CBS, Domino’s said the delivery drivers worked extended hours inside the restaurant, but still for less than minimum wage — and without tips. Following a meeting with management about the issue, 24 employees were terminated. Currently, the employees receive $6.00 an hour plus tips just to scrape by. (more—->)I WANT A FAVOR OF MY FOLLOWERS. please If you have ever been glad I took the time to edit something or reblog something – please:
REBLOG THIS IF YOU WILL NOT BUY ONE MORE PIECE OF THEIR FUCKING PIZZA UNTIL THEY PAY MINIMUM WAGE. Some of these people who are working at these shitty jobs are homeless, actually cannot afford rent and live in cars or on the couches of relatives or in alleys. This has to stop. I want this reblogged until Domino’s is on it’s geasy-ass knees bowing to Tumblr.
This is terrifying. Really terrifying. I mean, I work for a considerable amount more than minimum wage and I’m still struggling to survive. I’ve gotten the same kind of attitude from management about it (“you’re lucky to have a job at all in this economy”), and I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for them.
That attitude is killing us all. We are dying not because we’re lazy, but because it is impossible to keep your head above water unless you’re already in a lifeboat, and no one’s willing to help.
Oo, I already got Ariel and Nemo and hadn’t posted them yet when you submitted, so I’ll do the next ones in line!
Simba: Something a parent has taught you.
My dad taught me a very important lesson about picking your battles carefully. Specifically, looking at an argument objectively to figure out what’s more important – being right or not damaging your relationship with the other person. Sometimes, being right is more important… but other times, most times, especially with the petty things that get bickered about among friends and family, it’s better just to let things go.
This was further ingrained when I took all of those sociology/psychology classes about relationships that talked about how there’s no one right way to load the dishwasher, so stop being so freaking picky about it and just be glad that the dishes are being done!
Flounder: Something that surprised you and frightened you.
Last year, Aaron and I were driving to Anime Vegas and the roads were really bad and a walmart semi changed lanes RIGHT in front of us and we had to swerve to avoid being hit, went over a patch of ice and fishtailed, turning us sideways against oncoming traffic and then we went into a ditch. It was terrifying. But we didn’t die and our car was mostly okay, so we were able to continue our journey with only mild whiplash! Amazing.
Terk: Are you a big brother/sister figure to anyone?
I have an actual little brother who is much taller than me. He’s wonderful, and I take my big sister role very seriously. I also kind of feel like a big sister to a lot of people, really… not even sure why, but I think it has to do with my excessive MOTHER HENNING. :V
Dory: Something someone has told you that you can’t forget (two good things and one bad)
Ariel: Where do you think you belong, and why?
That’s a very good question. I think I’m still trying to figure that out. On the internet, maybe? Hahah… I really miss London. And I miss the people there. But the great equalizer is the internet, right? I just need to move out of Utah…
Kronk: What you are best at in the kitchen?
This is a subject up to much debate… but I think I might be best at making curry! I’ve worked hard at the recipe to get it just right, and I feel very confident about it. :3
So much so that I MADE A RECIPE CARD FOR IT, which you know, but others can see here: http://gabapple.deviantart.com/art/Japanese-Crockpot-Curry-294400199
Nemo: Your bravest moment.
Uhm… probably one of the times I stood up for myself and told someone that I wasn’t going to take it anymore. I have a very high tolerance for abrasive behavior, and I’m very patient, but even I have my limits. It takes a lot for me to actually tell people to back off, though… and I’m always grateful afterward when I do. I can think of a handful of instances, but probably shouldn’t post them here ‘cause internet and publicly accessible etc.
I don’t know why but seeing Eva in the line at walmart just gave me warm fuzzies of the most awkward kind.
im so miserable but i laugh at everything
