The new Leather Head is the bestest. <3
Month: December 2012
Yep yep yep!
(i’m gonna love you with my hands tied): eatmyjorts: “I am a Mississippi resident who receives food stamps,…
“I am a Mississippi resident who receives food stamps, roughly $367 per month (less than $100 per week) for myself and my 4 year old daughter. I can live off food stamps for a week easily enough — it’s making them last through the rest of the month that’s difficult. It’s almost…on the flip side, when I was homeless (jumping from house-to-house for shelter) and on foodstamps,
I actually lost
a lot of weight
Even with the help of 250ish bucks a month for food, which is honestly a lot for one person, I still lost a lot of weight.
If anything, the junk food that I bought with the stamps were only burned off as energy because of my crazy work schedule and the fact that I barely ate as it was.
If you’re actually in a dire living situation that ACTUALLY calls for the help of foodstamps like me
you wont have the gaining weight problem
unless you know
youre just sitting at home living off of foodstamps and government money and are not going to school / working full time / doing something to make a life for yourself
but what do i know, I’m only speaking from experience.
I know plenty of people who go to school/work full time and do things to “make something of themselves” that still have to live off of $1 beans and rice and 25 cent packages of ramen noodles. Most people on food stamps aren’t just sitting on their asses doing nothing and even if they are unemployed they aren’t just sitting on their ass collecting free government money and living a life of luxury.
What do you know, indeed. Apparently nothing, as your experience is by far not the typical experience and unless I’m reading your post wrong you’re speaking from a place of misguided extreme ignorance.
LOL let’s also not forget that cheap food is not always the healthiest. When I was a crazy poor college student, I actually GAINED a lot of weight despite running around campus and working and everything. It wasn’t the junk food, it was the empty nutrition and carbs in that ramen.
It’s expensive to eat healthy, especially when you’re glucose intolerant like I am. Which a lot of people are.
Can you imagine a person with type 2 diabetes trying to live off of ramen and rice? omg.
thanks i still have no idea what to do now
I always think of it as “gray” being a warm color and “grey” as cool.
That said, I almost always use “grey,” despite being american. 🙂
I will never let myself scroll past a picture of Walt and not reblog it. I feel like I’d be dishonoring him, and he’s just done so much for me that it’s just not right.
Mr. Disney
Bless this man for enriching my childhood.

My mod wants to educate people, ponies. Take some lessons.
Oh right, so because someone may have held a common prejudice for the time period – which I am in no way condoning – means that all of the good that he did is negated entirely?
… That’s really stupid.
You do realize that no one is perfect, right? ‘Cause if we’re gonna go there, then no one is a hero. Or awesome. There’s good and bad to every person. That’s human. And you’ve got to take into consideration the knowledge available/accessible at the time, the societal norm/expectations/etc. Racism, I agree, is a terrible thing… but how many Americans back in the 60s (and before, and today) weren’t racist? Heck, many people can’t even support the idea that he was actually racist because while he made some racist comments here and there, those were common and not considered a problem until muuuch later… and he hired and associated with people of all ethnicity/backgrounds/etc.
Walt still did a LOT of good for the world. He’s one of my role models and heroes… not because he was perfect or infallible but because he was human and determined to try to be a good person, to prove that you can make your own dreams come true. I don’t think it’s fair or right to dismiss his achievements and charity because of his shortcomings.
Or are you going to tell me that Washington a crappy and worthless person because he owned slaves?
Extrovert vs. Introvert
There is this common misconception about the natural behaviour of extroverts and introverts; extroverts are often times characterized as being lively and talkative, while introverts are naturally quiet and withdrawn.
This isn’t true. It’s correct that when you meet someone shy and quiet they will more likely be and introvert than an extrovert; however, this doesn’t mean that introverts are naturally shy, or that shy people always have to be introverts. On the contrary, introverts can be very talkative and discuss topics that intrest them for hours on end.The actual definition of an Introvert is someone who draws energy from being alone with their thoughts, while Extroverts draw their energy from being with others.
Introverts are people can who draw energy from being alone with their thoughts. They enjoy, and sometimes even need, a deep conversation with people they trust; they often don’t like small talk, or rather often don’t see the point in it. But after a while they will feel the need to be alone again, to recharge and sort out things on their own.
Extroverts on the other hand, are people who draw their energy from being with others. They can enjoy being alone with their ideas and dreams just as an introverts can enjoy being around people, yet after a while they will feel the need to interact with others to fill up their energy.I love this and will always reblog it.
Thank you. I’ve read too many post like this where extroverts are portrayed as loud douchewaffles and introverts as special loner snowflake babies.
favorite things:
1) the extrovert is listening in the 2nd panel. too many people think that extraverts do nothing but talk talk talk and never listen, but I find myself listening most of the time… because I love people and the exchange of ideas. exchange. two-way street
2) time alone is REALLY important… if I don’t get time to myself I go nuts and lose myself. so while I love being around others, I definitely need my space.
this is ACCURATE. 🙂
ok tai is either
a psychic cat that can find bodies
a spy cat from the black org
or a cat
I want to see a plot arc on the Black Org employing cats to do assassination work and technology gathering.
or maybe
maybe they were cats the whole time
