I feel for this mother. Change is hard. It’s difficult to spend all of your life thinking one way and then to have it challenged by someone you love. And she even says in the article, “Just because I hate them doesn’t mean I’m right” – she’s adjusting, but it’s painful. It’ll be a long road. It’s not the tattoo that she hates, but the symbol of things changing permanently. I’m just glad that she’s examining herself and the situation and figuring out why she feels the way that she does. And I’m damn proud of her son for standing up for himself. The “your house, your rules, but I’m not apologizing” statement is amazing. Good for you, guy. Good for you!
