Shit.<\/em> That\u2019s right, there\u2019d been a heist the other night. Hakuba looked at his pocket calendar, then the scheduler in his phone, and finally the calendar on the wall with photos of the city of Paris. It had been written there, at least, but not\u2026? Not in the rest of his books?<\/p>\n

The detective frowned, glancing down at the gem in his handkerchief, ever so carefully rubbing at the surface to remove what fingerprints he could. How had he missed the heist? It wasn\u2019t like him at all. Then again, he could have sworn that the others had gone after\u2026? Or had they? Not that it mattered; Kaitou KID would have gotten away with it regardless. But still\u2026 he\u2019d\u2026 forgotten entirely.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hakuba set the stolen heist aside and rubbed at his eyes tiredly. He\u2019d need to get it to the station right away to be returned to its rightful owner. And then he\u2019d have to make it up to Kid somehow. Or did he? He wasn\u2019t required to be at heists, was he? No- no he wasn\u2019t. But then, how could he protect Kaitou if he didn\u2019t attend? What if something had happened? Dammit\u2026 dammit!\u00a0<\/p>\n

He got up from his desk and carefully slid the note from Kaitou into his journal, then wrapped the heist up for safe stowing in his inner pocket. Better not to delay. He needed to get on top of things again. He couldn\u2019t slip, not with something this important. The fact that he\u2019d already made such a grievous mistake troubled him.
