Oh man I\u2019ve been waiting my <em>whole<\/em> summer for<\/strong><strong> this!\u201d<\/strong><\/small><\/p>\n<p><small>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dipper doesn\u2019t even realize there was a small crack in his voice, his grin as wide as one would think humanly possible as the boy paces back and forth in excitement, hands moving energetically as he talks.<\/small><\/p>\n<p><small><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2014\u2014 \u201c<em>I\u2019ve<\/em> been investigating this town too! And\u2014 And I found this journal that has all the answers you\u2019re looking for<\/strong><strong> just\u2014<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/small><\/p>\n<p><small>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As he\u2019s sliding the book from his inner vest, floorboards creaking under the weight of someone walking cause him to push the journal back, tugging the strangers sleeve closer and lowering his voice.<br \/><\/small><\/p>\n<p><small>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>\u2014\u2014 \u201cMaybe we should, uh, talk about this somewhere else\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/small><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/31.media.tumblr.com\/c0d54c9f224da5445da41957ce1c97a9\/tumblr_inline_ncljcaPTra1rms2iz.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although the enthusiasm was refreshing, the sudden shift in moods concerned the detective. Hakuba bent to listen when tugged and looked him over once more before nodding. A journal? Interesting. Even if it turned out to be nothing, it was certainly worth taking a closer look.
