Do you know why you were called that?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Well, &lsquo;Saguru&rsquo; means &#8216;to search&rsquo; &#8211; I think that my father has always wanted me to be a detective&hellip; a seeker of truth. My mum wanted me to have a good, Christian middle name, too&hellip; as part of my dual heritage. &#8216;James,&rsquo; incidentally, means &#8216;to take by the heel,&rsquo; which is often interpreted as &#8216;overreacher&rsquo; or &#8216;the print of one&rsquo;s foot&rsquo; &hellip; which goes along nicely with &#8216;to search,&rsquo; and even better when you take into account that it may ALSO be interpreted as a horse&rsquo;s hoof&hellip; and &#8216;Hakuba&rsquo; means &#8216;white horse.&rsquo;<\/p>\n<p>So. I suppose you could say that I&rsquo;m the constantly searching, overachieving white horse. That&rsquo;s fairly accurate, really.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Are you single or taken?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Single. I like to say that I&rsquo;m&hellip; married to my work.<br \/>((He is dating in a couple of storylines&hellip; this is where multishipping gets complicated.))<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Have any abilities or powers?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Not&hellip; really? I&rsquo;m rather good with math and chemistry, and I do all right as a detective. I can play billiards and tennis, too&hellip; Do those count?<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Stop being a Mary Sue.\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Oh, please, don&rsquo;t bring that sort of trope into this. If I were a &#8216;Mary Sue,&rsquo; Kaitou KID would have already fallen in love with me. &hellip;Not that I want him to. I just, well, if that were the case, it would have happened. You know?<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. What\u2019s your eye color?\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>Brown.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. How about your hair color?<\/strong><br \/>Sandy blond.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Have you any family members?\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>Well, yes. I have my father and grandparents in Japan, my Mum, uncles (and their wives and children), and a grandmum in England. No siblings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Oh? What about pets?\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>There are two dogs in England with my mum &ndash; Mycroft and Irene &ndash; but I&rsquo;ve got my hawk Watson with me in Japan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11. That\u2019s cool I guess, now tell me about something you don\u2019t like.\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>I&rsquo;m not exactly fond of duck. I think they&rsquo;re beautiful animals, but the meat is so oily and it&rsquo;s often prepared in a way that I just&hellip; can&rsquo;t stand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>12. Do you have any hobbies\/activities you like doing?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Reading, certainly, and working on cases&hellip; I&rsquo;m certain that I&rsquo;ll be made fun of for this, but I rather like filling out paperwork, too. It&rsquo;s relaxing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. Ever hurt anyone before?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Aha&hellip; Well, I&rsquo;ve thrown a punch or two in my days, mostly in self-defense&hellip; and I&rsquo;ve had to shoot to disable before&hellip; It&rsquo;s not something that I like to do, however.<\/p>\n<p><strong>14. Ever\u2026.killed anyone before?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Not directly, no.<\/p>\n<p><strong>15. What kind of animal are you?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>I&rsquo;m human, actually, but if you&rsquo;re asking what kind of animal I would be if I were&hellip; sort of an animal equivalent? The obvious answer would be &#8216;horse,&rsquo; but I think I&rsquo;m rather more like a dog. A nice, friendly, trusty Golden Retriever. Or a dragon. My mum would tell you that I&rsquo;m a deer, though. Ugh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>16. Name your worst habits.\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Aha&hellip; Substance abuse, one night stands, and being a little bit &#8216;harsh&rsquo; when it comes to calling people out on their glaring errors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>17. Do you look up to anyone at all?<\/strong><br \/>Oh, plenty of people. Megure-keibu is a fine individual&hellip; Kudou Shinichi is a fantastic example of what a detective ought to be&hellip; there were plenty of individuals in Scotland Yard, too, that I really idolize.<\/p>\n<p><strong>18. Gay, straight, or bisexual?\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Pansexual, actually. I literally have no preference in regard to gender.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>19. Do you go to school?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>I do, yes. High school, and I&rsquo;ll eventually go on to university.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>20. Do you ever want to marry and have kids one day?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>I would so love that, yes. Perhaps I&rsquo;ll have the opportunity later on? Assuming I live that long.<\/p>\n<p><strong>21. Do you have any fanboys\/fangirls?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Unfortunately, yes. They can be quite overbearing at times, as well&hellip;. and fan letters take up a great deal of time. Baaya has been collecting them in a basket for me.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>22. What are you most afraid of?\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>Judgment day. Or ghosts. Perhaps both.
