Shine bitch

AU where everyone has a mark on their body and it shines brightly when they meet/touch the person who will eventually murder them. Send me “Shine” to see my muse’s reaction when their mark starts to shine.

It was the policy of the police to give a mark 24 hours to cease activity before taking a person in, so Hakuba didn’t feel particularly pressured as he slid into the darkened room with the other man. No one could blame him for following protocol, even if the mark burned, hidden under his sleeve.

He’d known that it would eventually come to it, anyway; murder in the form of a psychotic individual that would somehow manage to get under his skin. How else would anyone get close enough? There had been inklings before, little glimmers, little pricks of pain when they made love before, when they discussed the complex politics of differing kingdoms. Saphir wasn’t stable, and he knew that.

In fact, he was counting on it. After all, what was the fun in being murdered if it couldn’t be through a close an intimate affair?
