A little while ago I made these icons for gab, I had this thing where Hakuba reminded me of a hamster, funny huh despite his name saying otherwise. But it is how I interpreted it anyway. If he were to be a rodent a hamster makes sense, they are bred to be pets and therefor are tamer and a little more “High class” I suppose you would say.

After this little thought I figured if Kaitou would be a rodent he would be a pure white mouse. Cunning and swift. Free of cages or of the “high class” position of being a pet he can do whatever he pleases whenever he wants. Not to mention his liking for shiny things~

((JUST FYI… UHGDGflj SOCUTE I need to do fan art…))

((Now that I’m at work, Hakuba is telling me this super cute story about him at school, being happy. I’m guessing it’s to counteract all of the angst that I normally write, but why did he wait until /now/ to tell me about it???
…ugh and he’s making this stupid happy cute face in my head and it’s really adorable. Muses. Ugh. The worst. Just wanna push him out the window or something. Stop with the lopsided smile already!))

“…I always have been prone to losing track of time. Thank you, Hakuba-san, it’s lovely. I’ll treasure it…”

Perhaps she should have lashed out, or gone cold or perhaps entirely silent. But rather, she managed to turn her head at the last moment and sneak a little kiss in the corner of his mouth. And then she was backed up and had a sly smirk on her face.

“Well, I suppose you best start working on that soon. How could I consider you worthy of the great detective title if you couldn’t find the truth behind such a simple mystery?”

The kiss was not missed and Hakuba looked quite pleased as Kyouko drew back from him, offering a smile and the playful quirk of a brow.

“Yes indeed; I’d not want to be amiss for such an opportunity to prove myself to you. Look forward to it, Kirigiri-san… and try not to worry; I’ll do my utmost to unravel your mysteries and take great care in putting the pieces of your puzzle back together again.”

the worst thing about writing is that you aren’t just a writer. you have to be a thousand things. a poet, a flirt, a weapons expert, a bleeding heart, a scholar, a legendary cook, a theorist, an engineer, a reckless teenage girl, a dying god. you have to be able to write monologues and speeches and heartfelt confessions, and you have to make them believable. writing is putting yourself into someone else’s shoes.

writing is really hard (◕︿◕✿)
