“…I love you, too. God, how are you so romantic all of the time~?”
Appears from out of nowhere.
Smooches.
Turns and runs.
Kuroba-kun, I’m at work what are you doing?!
“Like you even need to ask,” the thief murmured, closing the distance between them in one smooth motion. He grinned, a spark of mischief suddenly flashing through his eyes and instead of wrapping his arms around the blond’s neck to pull him into a soft, deep kiss like he might have otherwise done, he moved onto the tips of his toes, arms crossing comfortably behind his back—
—and just barely pecked Hakuba on the lips, the touch fleeting and light, before bouncing back a few steps again.
“Will that do~?” He asked, head tilting to the side and grin widening, playfully.
“Oh come now,” Hakuba said, dry expression quickly ruined by the amused smile that came to his lips. “I know that detectives are supposed to chase thieves, but I thought I’d earned some kind of extra privilege by now…"
Though, even having said that, Hakuba knew that it wasn’t exactly true. Not with this thief. He rolled his eyes and stepped after him, one brow raised over a lopsided smirk.
Send “Tick Tock” for a random thought without context that my character has during a day.
“I wonder just how much it would cost to have Batman decals professionally made…”
He probably should’ve noticed, somehow, what the detective was up to and he most likely would have – or perhaps that’s just what he was trying to tell himself – had he not been too tired from an entire day of school along with the previous night’s planning for his next heist to pay attention.
As it was, all he could do was let out a surprised yelp as he felt arms circle around him and lift him off of the floor.
“O-oi! Ha-Hakuba!” He laughed, then, twisting in the detective’s hold, hands grasping onto the blond’s arms and head turning to look at the other with eyes practically shining with mirth as he attempted to wiggle loose. “What are you even—!”
“Why, capturing you, of course!” It was the simplest answer, really, and Kaito turning only made it easier to get him maneuvered around to toss him over his shoulder, grasping onto his legs to keep him there as he carried him away, over toward the window.
“Have you ever been tossed out of a window before?"
…he would never actually go through with the veiled threat, and the windows were closed anyway, but it was a good question nonetheless and the detective found himself curious.
Perhaps he was a little more tired than he’d originally thought, because he couldn’t help but giggle even as he returned the kiss, soft and gentle and loving, eyes closing and fingers lightly curling into the detective’s hair.
“You’re totally spoiling me, y’know,” the thief murmured against the blond’s lips, smiling. “Not that I mind. At all.”
Hakuba tilted his head, brow raising as he looked at him, expression warm, loving. “I would hope not,” he said, and continued the barrage of soft kisses over his lips and face, letting Kaito do as he pleased in return.
“I love you, after all."
“Kiss and cuddle?” Kaito snickered, returning the kiss with a soft brush of lips against the blond’s cheek. “…And maybe stay with me until I fall asleep?”
“I think I could handle that, yes.” Hakuba nuzzled at him, chuckling softly at his antics. Grateful for the privacy that had been afforded them, the detective stole the thief away to the couch and settled down, arms loosely held around in a position that let him kiss Kaito with ease. Which he did.
He grinned, initial surprise melting away into tired amusement, and he tightened his hold, just a little, head falling to rest against Hakuba’s shoulder.
“If I said no, would you believe me?”
“No, but I suppose I could pretend for the time begin if it would help anything.” He leaned to kiss Kaito’s forehead, then shook his head, smirking. “Whatever am I to do with you, my love?"
