4. MUN X MUSE: how would our relationship go? Oh… goodness. I’m already married, let’s put that out there right now, and very happily so. But if it were to somehow happen where I was in a relationship with Hakuba, well… huh. It’d probably be fine since we’re both fairly polite and into books, though I’d feel constantly intellectually inferior to him. And jealous because he would still have fan girls/boys to fawn over him. HMMM. 

Mostly we’d be doing damage control, though. Who’s more depressed today? Oh okay cuddles for you, then. I’d have a hard time with how much he works, too… but then I think he would be really irritated by my lack of follow-through and inability to be punctual. 

10. If my muse were to die, how would I react? I would be utterly heartbroken! Though, depending on the hows and whys, it could be a very good thing. I think he’s a character with great potential to make a large impact if dead (hence the fanfic that I’m writing), given who his father (the Superintendent General, aka the highest ranking officer in Japan), with international reputation, connections to Scotland Yard, the French Police, etc… who has personally met The Mouris, Conan, Hattori Heiji… If he died, it’d definitely cause a stir for the police, but likely in a personal way for our main cast, too. Just think of how many people would be effected if Hakuba died, despite being, really, such a minor character? He’s just in a great position to be a catalyst for character development. ESPECIALLY if it was, say, Conan’s fault. Mm.

11. What is muse’s biggest secret? It’s got to be that he either knows Kaitou KID’s identity and has yet to turn him in (Boscombe secrets, I tell you!), ooor the fact that he was abused as a child. It’s fairly obvious to anyone who gets to know him, but he’ll adamantly refuse to tell the story unless you approach it in a very specific way… 

12. What does mun ship muse with? Hakuba seems to be ridiculously compatible with most good characters. I think my main ship with him is Hakuba/Kaito, but it’s worked really well with Hakuba/Heiji, Hakuba/Shinichi, and Hakuba/Akako before. I also wouldn’t say no to Hakuba/Shiho, Hakuba/Sonoko, or Hakuba/Ran, either. 

There are plenty of crossover characters he works well with, too (Kyoya, Tamaki, Jeanne, Sylwen, Sherlock, etc), and OCs are super precious (Emi, Madison, Mitzi, Miyu, etc.) … It just has to hit the chemistry just right. I bet he’d like an Elizabeth Bennett. 

15. What mun secretly wants muse to do. Actually tell his scar story to someone in character in an actual thread. LOL. So far he’s managed to elude it… but that may be partly because he’s always overly dressed.

18. What muse prefers the most on Tumblr. Lots and LOTS of variety, freedom for HCs and NPCs, and that I can RP/answer questions/draw fanart/write drabbles, and that there is a willing audience to receive it. 

20. What does mun dislike about muse? He’s really bad at interacting with anyone unless he has a specific reason for it. Most often, he’ll want to approach something, but works himself up so much trying to think of a good excuse, that he ends up just being anxious and avoidant and awkward all together. And then he goes to drink. c_c

  • not that I deliberately start rp’ing with people for the purposes of shipping, but if there’s chemistry, if there’s interesting interaction, then yeah, I probably ship it
  • you don’t have to ship it too; it’s fun to torture the muse with unrequited feelings okay
  • I will never pressure you into a ship
  • if you feel like i’m pressuring you, let me know and i’ll do my best to rectify the behavior

If Conan counts, Hakuba would snatch him up in a heartbeat. He’s often thought that the boy would make an exceptional protege. BUT, since Conan isn’t really a six year-old little boy, let’s go with Mitsuhiko. Hakuba would foster his intellect and interests, and do whatever he could to help with his career. I bet they’d get along really well, too. Hakuba loves children. He’d probably do well with anyone, really.

Hakuba and Sonoko. I think they would be a perfect pair, TBH, though I write them as good friends, instead.

Mun’s Theories:

who cooks normally?:  Emi. They’re both good at it, but Emi gets to cook and be brilliantly wonderful at it. Hakuba saves his cooking skills for special occasions… like Emi’s birthday, or Saturday mornings. And they cook together for guests. 

how often do they fight?: Hmm. There’s a lot of playful teasing, but not a lot of fighting. Communication is something that they have worked out pretty well. When they do fight, though, it never lasts very long. 

what do they do when they’re away from each other?: Work… think about each other… write silly emails… forward photos of cats… 

nicknames for each other?:  Honemi (like honey + emi and said like ‘mon ami’). Sugaru (sugar + roo, a play on his name). 

who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Hakuba. He would insist. 

who steals the covers at night?: No cover stealing unless one of them is ill. They usually curl up close and have so many quilts on the bed it doesn’t even matter. All bets are off when sick, though. 

what would they get each other for gifts?: Books. Postcards for places they want to go. Flowers, chocolates, eclairs, jewelry, clothing, etc… they could easily spoil each other rotten, I think. 

who remembers things?: Both. And have each other shared on their calendar and give gentle nudging for reminders. ‘Don’t forget we’re going to Cairo that week, dear; stop overbooking client appointments so much.’ and ‘do we need to reschedule our weekly out-date? You’ve got that big deadline coming up; I’d hate for you to miss it.’ etc

who cusses more?:  Emi. Mostly to shock Hakuba, I’d guess. Equal amounts when there is legitimate danger, perhaps trying to up the ante and ease the tension. It’s a painkiller, you know!  

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: Tender loving care surrounded by tough talk. ‘Pft, just a scratch; I’m all right, darling’, ‘hah this is nothing compared to that run-in with those blokes in black, is it?’, ‘naaah’

who kissed who first?: Hakuba kissed Emi first. Well, they sort of kissed each other first, after their, what, fourth date? He was so nervous because he knew it would change things for them. 

who made the first move?: Hakuba. After several more dates, AND after they became officially an item. He was even more nervous because it would REALLY change things, but then, by that point, he was too hopelessly head over heels. It was very clumsy, but ended up being great once he stopped being quite so nervous.

who started the relationship?: Hakuba. Because a kiss here and there are and casual dating just wasn’t enough.

who cooks normally?: Camie cooks, Hakuba bakes. 

how often do they fight?: Only during the month of October, usually. Otherwise, it’s Hakuba whining about Camie’s little pranks. 

what do they do when they’re away from each other?: Work. As usual.

nicknames for each other?:  Camsel and Senpai.

who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Hakuba. He would insist. 

who steals the covers at night?: I’m going to say Camie. Mostly because Hakuba usually curls up on his side and doesn’t move much during the night. 

what would they get each other for gifts?: Books and flowers and candy and journals and things. 

who remembers things?: They share the responsibility, but seem to remember very different things. 

who cusses more?:  Hakuba, generally, but Camie can put him to shame when she wants to.  

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: A lot of guilt-tripping, I think. Chastise each other for getting into danger and being dumb, even for things like paper cuts. 

who kissed who first?: Camie stole a kiss on a dare, which surprised Hakuba greatly.   

who made the first move?: Camie, because Hakuba was too much of a wuss. 

who started the relationship?: Hakuba, with a bit of reassurance and peptalks.

“Camie-chan is a very nice girl, but I already know that she’s taken. I enjoy our friendship as it is now, though I’m concerned about her… I don’t think she’s as happy and carefree as she claims to be.”

Mun’s Theories:

who cooks normally?: Somehow, I see Sera as the one being too busy to cook, so Hakuba would happily take care of that. (Is this the answer that I write every time? Geez Hakubby likes cooking, apparently.) BUT if she wanted to, she of course could. He’s not going to doubt her ability. Actually, they could cook together. That would be really cute. 

how often do they fight?: Probably not too much, actually. Oddly enough. Bickering here and there, perhaps, but I can easily see Hakuba being whipped in this relationship. She yells sometimes and he just lets her rant it out and then calmly makes suggestions when she’s done. 

what do they do when they’re away from each other?: SOLVE ALL OF THE CASES. Hakuba drinks a lot more tea when he’s not with her, too. Something about loud Americans not understanding… 

nicknames for each other?:  Goodness. ‘Yank’ for Sera (omg) and ‘Prat’ for Hakuba. That is so mean. Guys, stop that. How about something like… Violent Violet? No wait, that’s not good, either! Wait, wait, wait, I’ve got it:  Pantheress for Sera, Sea Horse for Hakuba. omfg stop nevermind I give up they’re not allowed to have nicknames for each other

who is more likely to pay for dinner?: They’d totally fight over it every time. 

who steals the covers at night?: SERA… at first. But then Hakuba would steal them right back. And so on and so forth until they either go coverless or curl up ogether. 

what would they get each other for gifts?: Subtle jewelry (bracelets, necklaces), flowers, books… but mostly consumables like chocolate or dinner or tickets to that thing you like

who remembers things?: Hakuba. He’s so meticulous about that sort of thing.  

who cusses more?: Sera, though the longer they’re together, the more Hakuba does, too. All in good fun, though!  

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: Treat the wounds efficiently, all while laughing about how they should have seen the other guy. 

who kissed who first?: Hakuba, though he hadn’t exactly intended to. It sort of just happened!  Something about a fight and drinking and working on frustrating cases and just…! STOP SAYING YOU’RE NOT BEAUTIFUL YOU’RE VERY ATTRACTIVE, GOD! HERE I’LL PROVE IT. 

who made the first move?: Sera! Because who can resist that I mean right. It happened very quickly. 

who started the relationship?: Hakuba, when he actually called the next day.

Mun’s Theories:

who cooks normally?: Hakuba, happy to play as her servant. Probably went to a lot of effort to learn a bunch of vegetarian dishes (because I love koizumiakako’s take on that). He probably loves when she insists, though.

how often do they fight?: Lots of constant bickering, I like to think of it as birds chattering at each other. Endless teasing and banter. But I think they kind of like it. 

what do they do when they’re away from each other?: Think about how to win the heart of Kuroba Kaito. Oh, and, like… work and make potions and stuff. 

nicknames for each other?:  ‘M’eudail’ or ‘White Knight’ (teasing) for Hakuba, and ‘Lever du soleil’ for Akako.

who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Hakuba. He loves to treat, spoil, and serve. 

who steals the covers at night?: I’m gonna say Akako on this one. (Why doesn’t Hakuba ever steal the covers? Hakuba, you are not perfect, stop pretending.)

what would they get each other for gifts?: …books. Charms. Clothes. They go shopping together a lot and Hakuba is happy to spend money on her (and himself). 

who remembers things?: They both do, but it’s a guessing game of what events will be considered important or not. With set appointments/dates, though, they are always punctual and dependable. 

who cusses more?: Hakuba, usually out of frustration at himself for getting worked up over his insecurities. Starts rambling and then can’t shut up and then- yeah. 

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: He apologizes repeatedly, regardless of what happened or who was at fault, does what he can to pamper. I suspect that Akako does the same only without the apologies. Maybe acts a little put out about it but… I think she would reassure him. 

who kissed who first?: Hakuba kissed her first after asking permission. He was terribly nervous.  

who made the first move?: Akako, this time, impatient with Hakuba’s inability to man up. Ahahaha. 

who started the relationship?: Hakuba, once it was clear that things were all right to (and had received many direct hints and orders on the subject), asked her to go out with him. Which he might have done anyway, eventually, even without the LOVE SPELL THAT SHE CAST ON HIM.

“Koizumi-san is both beautiful and dangerous. A relationship with her would be difficult to maintain if only because of the careful balance needed to keep things tipped on the positive side of the scale. When things are good, they’re very good— even after the breakup. When things were/are bad, however…  well, I won’t go into detail, but rest-assured I’ve spent more than a few nights crying over her. I’m pleased that we’ve become friends again… I can only hope that this continues, wherever it leads.”

Hakuba/Kaitou KID (Phantom-theif-kid)

Mun’s Theories:

who cooks normally?: I’m gonna say that KID lets Hakuba cook because he wants Hakuba to feel useful. 

how often do they fight?: There’s probably lots of minor disagreements that are worked out easily enough (usually it’s ‘Hakuba, stop FREAKING OUT’ ‘I DON’T KNOW HOW’), and then a larger argument when one of them does something dangerous. 

what do they do when they’re away from each other?: Socialize, read, work… Hakuba texts all the time, though. 

nicknames for each other?: ’Mon cher voleur’ for Kaito, ‘Dear Detective’ for Hakuba.

who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Hakuba tries. KID insists that he can take care of his own, too, though… so they probably go back and forth. 

who steals the covers at night?: KID. Which makes Hakuba curl up close to him. 

what would they get each other for gifts?: Books, magic trick stuff, little knick knacks, tokens of affection. 

who remembers things?: They’re both pretty good at remembering things, at least the important stuff. They overlap, and because Hakuba tries to not seem too needy, doesn’t mention things like anniversaries and birthdays.. and since Hakuba doesn’t mention them, KID assumes that Hakuba doesn’t care about them…  

who cusses more?: Hakuba. And it’s usually ‘GOD DAMMIT KID WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE SHOT?! SHIT!” 

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: Force the fretting aside, quickly and carefully attend to wounds and after care. They’re both very concerned about each other’s well-being. 

who kissed who first?: KID totally kissed Hakuba first. On a rooftop. It was surprising and romantic. 

who made the first move?: KID did because Hakuba is a complete wuss. 

who started the relationship?: UHMMM… I think Hakuba finally breaks down in this one, too… corners him, asks him for a straight answer, no more riddles and puzzles and all of that jazz. But I imagine it’s always going to be “complicated.”
