Dropping Threads etc (ooc)

I’ve mentioned doing this before but I’m legit doing it now. My draft box is stuffed, and I’m sure that not all of them are active/wanted replies. So. If we’re in the middle of a thread that you want to continue, please reply here, send an ask/fan mail, or like this post. Please specify if there’s a particular one you want to continue (even if you say “all”), because I know I have multiple threads going with some of you. Letting me know which ones have active interest will get them higher priority.

Those I don’t hear back from will either be put on the back burner or deleted from drafts. That’s not to say that they can’t be picked up again later, though; no probs.

Also, please don’t worry about my workload. If you want to continue a thread, I am /more/ than happy to. It’s not a burden. I know I’ll end up cutting a lot as-is because I know there will be a lot that go unclaimed for whatever reason. Seriously. If there’s a want, I want. None of that self-sacrificing stuff or I’ll just feel like you don’t want to play with me anymore boo hoo etc.

Again, I /do/ want to RP with you. Yes, you. I just need to know that you want to, as well. It’s also cool to drop old threads and start new ones. I just want to write with you, okay?

Also, new policy on M!As: I will likely use them for drabble/starter prompts only and deleting the rest. They’re just too difficult to fit into my workflow, since I don’t have a ton of “active” online time. Sorry. It just feels random/disjointed, and I have a tendency to want to play more in theme. If you’re fine with me just doing a short story about it, though, then by all means… The exception will be, of course, if I can work it into a plot point.

And finally… no, I don’t reblog every ask meme. Sorry. I know that some of you have noticed a distinct lack of them lately. That’s because I am too slow and people are waiting on me/getting anxious. I save the really good ones I see into drafts for later use, and I try to send a good amount of asks to those on my dash. Hope that’s all right. And, er, if you really want me to participate in one (sending or reposting), just tag me on it or pester on skype or something.

Anyway, that’s that, I guess.

ps. just realized my hubby is the same way and also virgo. all we ever do is sit around and come up with headcanon to flesh out worldbuilding and justify character actions/motivations. c_c always

Hmm… well maybe you can keep working on those side projects and try to get something published? I mean you said you’ve finished novels before :O Do you not think any of them are worthy?

WELL… They all need heavy revision and my energy/confidence ratio wavers greatly. I work full-time as a web developer, so I honestly don’t have a lot of free time. I… really could manage what time I do have better, though. The second novel I wrote is actually in fairly decent shape, just needs some reworking… and I have like 3 others that are at 60% of their first draft. 

Ughhh yeah. I need to work on them. And get something sent out. That’s one of my goals for the year! Get something sent out to agents, see if I can get some representation. 

Huu… 

I’ve taken university classes, run/participated in writing groups for years, so much workshopping, conferences, editor consults, author lectures… you’d think I’d have a handle on this. Several peeps from my writing group have submitted, a couple of them have gotten published, and here I am just… shrug? I even have a published author who has more or less been my mentor for the past several years (and she’s asked me if I’m afraid of success; doesn’t know why I’m not moving forward)… 

This blog has been a great way to practice, though, holy moly… I think I’ve learned a LOT in the 9 months I’ve been doing this. So much writing, trying out different styles, giving myself homework and tough challenges… and all publicly available for people to read. I’m even starting to proofread a little bit (but I’m still super lazy, let’s be honest). 

I’m in a fantastic critique group right now… very small, and the two ladies I write with are so talented… ughh and they keep pestering me because I haven’t submitted in mooooonths… 

I don’t even remember where I was going with this, but I’m soapboxing like Hakuba so I should stop it. HAH.

tldr; I need to write… esp since I have basically lost all confidence in my ability to art.

Any sports?
Nah, not really. I like tennis, swimming, and bowling but eh. I don’t watch anything and don’t have any “teams.” I used to do dance on a team that competed, but that was years ago… that may be part of why we do Dance Central and DDR for exercise these days, though. haha.

Mottos?
I like “maa iika” from Conan… sort of “oh well,” because that’s really just life for you. Bad stuff happens all the time. What’re you gonna do about it? Gotta “ganbatte ne” anyway!

Oh goodness. I adore Shinichi/Conan from DC, Shinji Ikari and Misato from Eva, Ender Wiggin from Ender’s Game, Colonel Mustang from FMA, Ittoki and Tokiya from Uta Pri, Kyoya and Tamaki from Ouran, Ran Kotobuki from Super GALS…. so many good characters ughh… oh and Raph and Leo from tmnt.. Mabel and Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls… I could go on forever, p much.

Favorite type of clothing
Scarves, maybe… or a good ladies tunic shirt… idk clothes are hard. But I like socks and sweaters and baggy jeans for sure! And tank tops are a++ too.
