1) Give him a dragon

He was obsessed with dragons when he was an ickleba – had plushies, toys, books, posters, bed spread… dragons dragons dragons. They’re all gone now and he’s largely forgotten that he once wrote an essay about how dragons were real and that his father needed to acknowledge and respect this. But then, he was six years old. He still pays attention whenever they’re mentioned, he just doesn’t exactly remember why. 

2) Animals of pretty much any kind (except for large, angry dogs)

Yeaahh… Hakuba is just a big softy when it comes to animals. He gets along with them far better than people. Particular favorites are dogs, horses, and of course his pet hawk. (also tigers, shh)

3) Hand-written letters

He just really likes them, but can’t find any reliable pen pals.
