A bouquet of white and red roses are placed upon the detective’s table accompanied by the presence of tea and chocolate, both imported from Paris. A note is tied to the bouquet saying, “Enjoy your Valentines Haku-chan~ You’re also welcome to stop by the host club today! Passez une bonne journée Monsieur Cool-Prince~” the sender was probably obvious by now.

Of course it was obvious – no one but Suoh Tamaki would be so obnoxiously obvious and sweet at the same time. Rolling his eyes, Hakuba looked over the gifts with a small, but content smile, then set them aside so that he could get ready to drop by the aforementioned club. Although he would be officially giving the Host King a return gift on White Day, he didn’t see any harm in stopping by with some extra treats for his ridiculous friends at Ouran in the meantime.

“I say it’s hardly where it’s needed to go! I wonder why you two are at each other’s throats most of the time I find you two conversing…”

“It’s not my fault if Kuroba-kun acts like an ass; that seems to be his prerogative."

I COULDN’T HELP MYSELF BUT RECORD THIS PART

He’s sick here but lets just pretend he’s not

Cue a snowy scene during a heist and Hakuba’s chased after KID, both fleeing for their lives from organization assassins… Bullets ripping through Hakuba’s heavy overcoat but he tries to ignore it, just has to help KID escape, get him to the safest route… but he starts stumbling, reaching out and grasping onto KID’s cape before collapsing against the brick wall of that alleyway, ragged breaths panting, gasping, leaving bloodied smears on white silk as he falls to his knees. And KID turning in horror, seeing the spreading carmine over Hakuba’s nice suit, face so pale as he kneels in the snow.

Worried and hushed demands of "hold on, tantei-san,” and “I’ll get help for you,” from KID, but Hakuba isn’t even able to see straight anymore, just feeling the blood pool around his fingers, dripping into the snow at their feet.

KID can’t wait– the crows are still coming… but can he just abandon the dying detective?
