Series Commentary from Gab and Yuki:

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank yukitsukihana, for always giving me an opportunity to participate in dcmk crack. Here she writes Aoko and Kaito, as usual, and I take on the roles of Hakuba and Akako.

This does have a couple of panels from the latest Magic Kaito manga chapter, so it has been put under a cut to make it easier to avoid spoilers.

Thank you, please enjoy.

spoiler town here we go~

Hakuba: >____>;;;;; so immature
Akako: *snorts* she’s so naive
Hakuba: HE’S MORE LIKE A WHITE FALCON
Kaito: ….oi
Akako: no, just a silly little dove
Hakuba: FALCON
Aoko: cockroach!!
Hakuba: ’___’;;;; Nakamori-chan, really…
Aoko: *NODS*
Hakuba: …. I’m very sorry to say this, but you’re hopeless
Akako: playground tactics from our little kouhai~~
Aoko: Hakuba-kun!!
Hakuba: you can’t go around calling people that you like a  cockroach!
Aoko: well he is! he always keeps coming back, even if you don’t want him too!
Kaito: OI

Akako and Hakuba think about that, because she has a point.
Then, at the same time:

Akako: he’s more like a stubborn tom cat then
Hakuba: perhaps a cat would be more appropriate

and they look at each other
and Hakuba goes <////<;;;

Aoko: no way. cats are cute and cuddly

Kaito: *eyebrow twitch*

Akako and Hakuba BOTH OPEN THEIR MOUTHS
TO REPLY
THEN LOOK AT EACH OTHER
CLOSE THEIR MOUTHS
…and keep their comments to themselves

In what Detectiv Conan Manga are Saguru Hakuba

Hakuba Saguru has been in the Detective Conan manga a total of two times.

image

The first instance was The Sunset Mansion (file 299-302). You might be able to read it online here, but it’s suspect and not very high quality. Your best bet will be to purchase the officially sanctioned manga however it’s available to you. In America, it’s volume 30 – here’s an Amazon link!

The second was the amazing Detective Koushien arc (file 562-566). You can read this online by visiting the Detective Conan Translation Project (http://www.dctp.ws/), clicking on “Read Vol. 54+”, then “Volume 54” in the sidebar, then navigate to “DC 54 – 9 East Detective (1)” – there are five parts in total.

The anime counterparts to these files (219, 479) are likewise excellent and are highly recommended. For further Hakuba goodness, make sure to read the Magic Kaito manga (available on DCTP) and watch the Magic Kaito anime – there aren’t that many episodes, so it’s easy to get up to speed.  You can even skip to when Hakuba shows up (volume 3, chapter 2 in the manga; episode 7 – ‘The Splendid Rivals’ in the anime) if you just want the good stuff!
