This conversation feels frustrating to her and she’s struggling to find the words to properly explain herself. Of course it might be because the woman is a bit intimidating, and it doesn’t help it’s Hakuba’s mother, but she feels like Hakuba is getting some rather unfair judgement from the woman. It doesn’t help they have similar views on truth and criticism. 

“Regardless of tact, or lack thereof, the reasons in which he says things people may not like are his own. And if he feels those reasons are correct I don’t see why it is up to some one else to judge him for those reasons, unless it has caused harm to someone in any such way. Your son does not seem the type to say things just to hurt some one, he is very caring and polite.”

“For the most part yes, he is. Saguru-kun is very well mannered in most situations, but there are key times when he’s lost his temper and spoken out of turn… though, usually, it’s just his getting his foot stuck in his mouth that is the most trouble." 

Marion sighed, regarding the young woman with a tilt of her head. "Please don’t misunderstand me, Kudo-chan; you’re a lovely girl and I do appreciate that you’re standing up for my son. I can definitely see why he’s so fond of you and your spirit, but he could do well to remember to keep his temper in check. That’s all. Particularly when it escalates into a full-on rant to those undeserving of his silver tongue."
