♘ Cause you know, white knight, Hakuba, :P.

♘: Cuddling in a blanket fort

He hadn’t done this particular activity in quite some time, years even, and although he wore a stoic sort of smile (if there was such a thing), even he recognized that he was amused and perhaps a little bit excited about it. Chairs turned and strategically placed to provide structure; every pillow and blanket that could be found and used without having Baaya yelling at them; and ample use of bag clips and zipties had created the ultimate in blanket forts.

It was awkward to army crawl into the thing despite the spacious entrance, both because Hakuba was still wearing a suit, and because he wasn’t used to getting low on the ground except in situations of dire peril, but he managed somehow. And, once inside, flopped onto his back in the mountain of pillows and looked up at the ceiling of patchwork quilt, each square filtering in a different amount of natural light from the window. Beautiful. Comforting. It reminded him of home.

Hakuba rolled onto his side and reached over to ruffle his companion’s hair, smirking. “All right, fine… this was a good idea, you win.”

Wait, so is Kaito a cat or a fox?

That largely depends on the Kaito.

In the original space AU, Kaito is a cat. Other players with Kaito muses have theorized that if theirs were in that universe, they might be a fox, sugar glider, ferret, jaguar, snow leopard, bat, etc.

Since I was talking about the project with a particular Kaito, I went with fox for some, cat in others. 🙂

The AUs that I’m in/have written/helped write are often set up like tabletop roleplaying campaigns, where some roles (ie: the ones I wrote/control) are more or less permanent fixtures, but the other things are variables… and there are, subsequently, many, many possible plot events have been scripted that can be triggered depending on the choices made by the other player(s).

Fluid timelines/parallel universe stuff works really well with this.

As for the graphic novel I wanna do, I’m not sure what Kaito will end up being. Something fluffy, that’s for sure. Probably a cat-alien of some sort.
