birthdaypersonality:

Your greatest challenge is…

going with the flow

The way forward is…

to understand that sometimes life can’t be controlled; you simply have to relax and trust that something good will come to you.

You’re drawn to people born on…

June 21 to July 22

This is a classic case of opposites attract; you have so much to learn from and give each other.

Luck maker

Let the pieces come together

When things don’t work out, relax and think of your life as a giant jigsaw. You may be desperate for luck, but nothing will make sense until all the pieces of your life come together.

People born on August 29 are blessed with an incredible imagination that can take them to the pinnacle of success in their personal and professional life. Reluctant to be confined by the limits of convention, they prefer to analyze all existing information, reappraise it and then present their findings in a new and original manner. As such, they are the great improvisers and re-interpreters of the year.

Although they are wonderfully creative and artistic in their approach, they also thrive on routine and structure. A recurring theme for them is their attempt to impose control or structure upon every situation. As such they are not just positive thinkers but also positive doers; once they have set down their ambitious goals, they move toward implementing them with a selfdiscipline and practicality that inspire amazement in their friends and colleagues alike. Paradoxically, the one area of their lives where they find it hard to improvise or impose structure is their emotional life. Frequently, they will subordinate their private to their professional life, preferring to devote their energies to an environment in which they don’t feel so threatened. It would be beneficial for them, therefore, to reappraise their priorities.

From childhood they will probably have demonstrated their practical and analytical skills, impressing others with their ability to find their way around problems by thinking up new solutions. After the age of twenty-four there will be opportunities for them to focus on their relationships, and it is important for them to take advantage of these opportunities as their need for a fulfilling personal life is strong, however much they try to escape. There will also be an emphasis on creativity during these years.

Whatever age they are, if they can learn that sometimes the best solution to a problem is to stop trying so hard to solve or understand it and to simply trust, they will be able to present to others the fruits of their research in reinterpretations that are both innovative and inspiring.

On the dark side

Withdrawn, impatient, lonely

At your best

Innovative, structured, imaginative

Love Excuses, excuses

Partners often have a hard time competing with the professional priorities of people born on August 29 and may accuse them of using their work as an excuse to avoid intimacy. This is unfair as they are not afraid of intimacy, just unsure how to cope with it. If they can find a partner who can gently encourage them to open up without fear of rejection, they make charming, enthusiastic and communicative lovers.

Health Make relationships a high priority

People born on this day place a high priority on work as a source of satisfaction, but it would be better to emphasise their personal lives as close relationships offer them greater potential for happiness. They will also find that close relationships make them more productive at work because they give them a sense of perspective. Study after study has also shown the health-boosting effects of intimacy. As far as diet is concerned, they should not try to deal with stress by comfort eating or taking recreational drugs or other addictive substances. Regular exercise is highly recommended as it will give their day the structure they love, especially if their personal life is chaotic. Wearing, meditating on and surrounding themselves with the color orange will encourage them to be more spontaneous in their interactions, and burning lavender essential oil will help lift their mood during times of stress.

Career Born designers

These people may devote their energies to a variety of fields but they thrive in technology, computing or design, where they can operate unhindered and impose a sense of structure. Other careers that might appeal include management, self-employment, the caring professions, education, law, science, writing, politics, manufacturing, music and entertainment.

Destiny To benefit others with their intellectual curiosity and sense of style

The life path of people born on this day is to get time on their side by learning to let the pieces of their life come together. Once they are able to go with the flow, their destiny is to benefit others with their intellectual curiosity, wisdom, independence, and sense of style and structure.

youphoric:

humans are so cute, when we say goodbye we put our arms around each other and to show we love someone we bring them flowers. we say hello by holding each other’s hand, and sometimes tiny little dewdrops form in our eyes. for pleasure we listen to arrangements of sounds, press our lips together, smoke dried leaves, get drunk off of old fruit. we’re all just little animals, falling in love and having breakfast beneath billions of stars

“You will protect me if anything goes bad, right Hakuba-kun?”

“I do my best to protect the lives and well-being of others as a general rule, yes; at least as far as my mortal limitations will allow. That being said, I do feel the need to suggest that I do not have the time nor the resources to chase after those who insist on putting themselves (and others) in danger. Reckless behavior is unbecoming of anyone, much less a young lady such as yourself, and I cannot allow myself to be put at risk on the part of foolish errands and vendettas. Doing so would not only jeopardize myself, but the lives and well-being of my family, associates, clients, and colleagues.

"There is a calculated risk that must be taken into account whenever a decision – such as protecting another person, or more precisely, putting your own life and reputation on the line – and I am far more reluctant to do so when the person in question has persisted in ignorance and naivety.

"Although all human life does, of course, have great intrinsic value, there is something to be said about keeping a broader perspective in mind. Particularly when lives are at stake. Ideally, a person would be willing and capable to save any person in need… but there are times when choices must be made, as well as sacrifices, and as such, as difficult as it is, things of a most sensitive nature may need to be evaluated and prioritized above others.

"Consider the story of Zhao Yun, one of the Five Tiger Generals that served under Liu Bei. In one particularly dramatic bit*, Liu Bei’s infant son was kidnapped by the enemy army. Zhao Yun bravely took on the entire army by himself and managed to rescue the baby and deliver him, miraculously unharmed, to Liu Bei in an unparalleled display of courage, determination, and love for his commander.

"However, when Liu Bei saw what his general had risked to bring his son back to him, he cast the infant aside and reprimanded him for doing so. Although he was grateful to have his son back, to be certain, he was thoroughly disappointed in the potential cost that the general was willing to risk without careful consideration and discussion with his superior – who could evaluate things appropriately in terms of successful warfare. Liu Bei’s reasoning was that he could always make more babies, but if he lost Zhao Yun? Years and years of training, experience, wisdom, and general bad-assery would be lost. And to be frank, a seasoned general is going to be much more valuable in winning a war (and potentially saving countless other lives) than an infant would be.

"It really has to do with the idea of greatest potential for a positive outcome, overall…

"Of course, ideally, we all could be as incredible as Zhao Yun and save the baby and come out completely unscathed. It’s just… highly improbable, and to think otherwise falls under that same vein of foolishness that I mentioned earlier.

"Regardless, I suppose in the end it all comes back to Boscombe, doesn’t it~?"

I am not the first person you loved.
You are not the first person I looked at
with a mouthful of forevers. We
have both known loss like the sharp edges
of a knife. We have both lived with lips
more scar tissue than skin. Our love came
unannounced in the middle of the night.
Our love came when we’d given up
on asking love to come.
