((I wonder what the heck is up with me, then. My first exposure to Hakuba was reading the Sunset Mansion arc while I was going through Detective Conan the first time… then I immediately looked him up on the wiki, read the Koushien arc, watched both DC episodes, then read all of Magic Kaito. Then, scoured out all of the fanart and info I could find on him. I thought he was so super cool from the very first moment I saw him. o___o what in the…???

I thought he was so handsome and weird and the arrogance just… ugh, perfect. And then devouring all of the source material for him? Ohman. Just so different from the other Gosho boys and… his dynamic and… how he got Heiji all worked up and insecure… dkfjls;gs such a good character how could I resist?!

And then I come online and I’m like ‘omg I LOVE HAKUBA’ and everyone’s like ‘He’s such a douche bag!!! UGHHH HE IS SO MEAN TO HEIJI WE HATE HIM’ and I was like woah dfkhjgkla what???? BUT HE’S… AWESOME… so much… going on… walking contradiction…! and then the MK anime came out and there was MORE STUFF FOR HIM TO DO and I just wanted to scream YESSS THANK YOU HAKUBBY HAS MORE STUFF IN HIS LIFE FANTASTIC YESSSSSS more dynamic and..

… I guess my situation was unique. I was SO SAD when I thought he’d died in Sunset Mansion. And I’m used to new characters dying in this manga all the time, but for some reason HIS death I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT CAN’T BE TRUE DON’T LET IT BE TRUE!!!

IT WAS DESTINY. NAY, KISMET,  that I somehow got attached immediately.))

A MURDER /WILL/ HAPPEN IF YOU DON’T GET YOUR ASS BACK TO BED, WOMAN

“But if you murder the cat, then I shall never finish my response to Mr. Holmes, which means never visiting Baker Street, and in turn, ensuring no kisses from Mr. Holmes at all which I have promised to pass along to Eiji-kun indirectly and, in effect, make Kaitou-kun somewhat jealous perhaps…”

Please refrain from murdering the cat…! As you can see, this is important!”
