I have the very strong impression that this Kaitou hates me for some reason (perhaps I haven’t been very kind to him… I know I have a tendency to be very obnoxious from time to time, particularly when investigating) … however

Kaitou-san seems to have this effect on most people. Even ones that, previously, were sane, rational human beings. He’s a bit like alcohol in that way. Lures you in with promises of intrigue and fun… makes you feel warm and free, inhibitions gone… dances with you, makes you chase him, turns everyone around you into your friends and fellow comrades and you’re alll just loving him, wanting him, desperate for him in a way that makes you drooling and stupid and willing to do /anything/ for him, anything at all…

…but there’s always the hangover in the morning. And then you have to reconsider the choices you’ve made in your life…
