For what it was worth, Ran wasn’t the only one that blushed. Smiling, both surprised and confused, the detective blinked back at the girl once their lips parted, and tilted his head. “Mouri-chan,” he said, voice soft. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”

Ran, who continued to blush, placed a hand to her lips. “I…I don’t know what came over me. Forgive me please.” She wanted to run, but held fast, almost glued to the spot. She was not only embarrassed, but ashamed of herself. She expected him to be mad, but he didn’t seem to be showing any signs of that emotion. Still, it had been wrong of her to be so forward.

Ah. Mouri-chan was such a lovely, sweet girl. Hakuba couldn’t resist a soft laugh and smile at her embarrassment; it was just too cute. “There’s nothing to forgive, Mouri-chan. I tend to have that effect on people; you needn’t fret whatsoever. I’m honored to have caught your attention."
