justaspeckinyourgalaxy: Happy birthday, Kyoya Ootori! ♡ 11月22日!(14720855) by セキララ (Pixiv Artist ID:1409391) I shall have to find him the most perfect gift. Nothing too big or flashy…  something thoughtful while not being too sentimental… hmmm.

“Hey Daddy, can I come with you to solve the case? Mommy is busy working in the lab.” asked the little 7 year old girl. She was half British and half Japanese. She had strawberry blonde hair like her mother and brown eyes like her father.

“Oh, you want to come with me, sweetheart?” Hakuba glanced at his wrist watch, then over toward the door to the lab. Hmm. “Well, I suppose you could, but I’m fairly certain that you don’t have your police badge yet. How about you help me make some tea for your dear darling mum, and we’ll use it to coax her from her work, hmmm~?”

“When is daddy coming home, both of you promised to watch a movie with me.” The young boy stood on his tiptoes to see over his fathers desk, his appearance mostly Japanese. Blue eyes and black hair reminiscent of his tengu father with just a bit of British features showing through from Hakuba’s own genes.

“Oh, I suspect that he’ll be along in the next hour or so. We should really get dinner ready for him though, hm~? Security is very serious business, you know. He’ll likely be very hungry. But!” He closed his current case file and pushed back from his desk to stand, walking around to take the eager boy’s hand. “Once that’s all sorted, we’ll watch whatever you’d like. Have you picked something out yet?"

“Hakuba-kun! I am so sorry for what I have done! Ai-chan told me that people would die if I told anyone about the rifle. I just wish there was a machine that could make me forget I discovered the rifle! I am just very sorry! Please forgive me!” Kita cried as she fell to her knees and lowered her head so Hakuba wouldn’t see her cry.

“This is all well and good, Yamashita-chan, but you should be apologizing to Subaru-san, not me. He is the one who has had to deal with the stress of this entire situation which should not have happened in the first place. I suggest that you go straight away to make amends and promise to stay out of his personal business.”

“…Also, there’s no need to cry. Come now, be a professional. As long as you’re reasonable I’m certain that something can be worked out. Just… be much more careful in the future, all right?”
