(,,◕ ⋏ ◕,,) (KAITOCAT GO)

aceofclubs1412:

Kaito, now a medium-sized, dark brown cat, mrowed, annoyed. How the hell am I a catAnd it had to happen while he was outside, so he was stuck, unable to open the door without a human height or opposable thumbs.

I’m hungry. If he were human, his stomach would be growling. He walked off, hoping to find something to eat.

Just a little ways away was Hakuba, seated on a bench and under a tree in the little grassy area near the prefecture’s local courthouse. Laid out next to him was his briefcase, full of documents for that day’s hearings, and in his hands was a carefully wrapped gyro. Lamb. Mm.

It was only because things had gone so well that Hakuba was even eager to eat. So far, though, all of the cases that he’d assisted with had gone precisely the way that he’d expected them to. No odd surprises, no frustrating, futile disagreements… all open and shut cases with clear verdicts, agreeable jurors, and carefully organized evidence. What a pleasure to be helping the law in such a way!

Because he was in such a good mood, it made the presence of the feline only that much better, and Hakuba glanced over with a warm smile.

“Good afternoon, neko-kun!” he called cheerfully, then took a bite of his deliciously meaty sort-of-sandwich. While chewing, he dabbed his lips with a napkin, then looked back at the cat once he’d swallowed. “And how are you today?”

“Two of a kind indeed. I’d say your little stunt earlier proved that quite well.” Kaito grinned, lightly elbowing the blond in the side. “Never thought I’d see the day you’d pull a prank. You’re actually pretty good at it.”

A gleam that could only be described as purely and utterly mischievous and excited flashed through Kaito’s eyes.

“What do you say we team up next time~?”

"I don’t know that the world is quite ready for that…” Hakuba wanted to put his arm around him, but being in semi-public… he just laughed, giving him a gentle shove right back. “Either way, I hope that this has taught you a valuable lesson: you should never underestimate the quiet ones. Especially not the ones who make their living studying crooks and criminals."

The cold was settling into Ran’s bones, causing a few shivers to run up her spine. She didn’t care, considering her company. She could feel the warmth from his breath, so close to her as he wrapped them both in the scarf.
A blush crept into her cheeks and she looked up into his eyes, biting her lower lip. He was certainly one with words. “Th-thank you.” She stuttered, not from the cold, but from the hundreds of butterflies she felt in her stomach. He always seemed to do that to her. She nodded. “Yes, of course.” She took his offered arm with a smile.

“Splendid."

Arm in arm, Hakuba led her away from the agency with a glance upward at the sky. Despite being early afternoon, the heavy clouds blocked out the sun and, well, most everything any significant distance away. The detective briefly wondered if it would interfere with their plans for the day, but in the end just smiled, pulling the girl closer to himself.

"I was thinking that we could walk the first leg of the journey…” he said, glancing down at her as they made their way over the white-speckled sidewalk. “Take the train to Shibuya… And I’ll have a car sent ‘round when we’re finished shopping, if that’s all right.”

whiteknighthakuba replied to your post  “The one time I wasn’t the one playing pranks and…

“Don’t be too put out, my dear darling… it’s not often that I get to pull
anything and get away with it.” Hakuba grinned, ruffling his hair. “How
was my poker face~?”

“Too good.” He snorted, waving Hakuba’s hand away and shooting him a playful glare. “Have you been practicing or something? I swear, that was almost as good as my dad’s.”

Hakuba laughed, easing off in case the other teen decided to get revenge of the hair-mussing sort. "Have I neglected to mention that the grandfather on my mum’s side was a gambler? Quite the successful one, too… the Wickham fortune had to come from somewhere, so you could say that we’re two of a kind~"

Welcome to Beijing

“Hahaha, What brings you here today? Sadly the palace museum is closed for the day, but I can personally give you a tour of this city! After all it was once the shining center of the world you know?” She says with a small smile on her red painted lips.

she was stunning in her appearance, unreal almost. she gives him a once over, mostly because hello English gentlemen~ although she could see the distinct japaense influence, which slightly put her off but oh well.  she’ll deal. He;s so young looking too! Aww. Young ones were her favorite~ <3

The question– or questions –had the young detective scrambling to find the words in his translation guide, but unfortunately, he’d lost most of what she’d said. Hakuba knew that taking a crash course in Mandarin would only be minutely helpful for his trip, but he’d hoped it would have at least bridged some gaps. Alas, though the kanji was the same in China and Japan, still so much was lost on the half-Brit teenager.

Biting his lip, Hakuba looked back at the woman and offered a mumbled apology in poorly pronounced Chinese. “Ah, sorry. Could you.. repeat that?” He’d understood the words ‘museum,’ ‘closed,’ and ‘tour,’ but little else. “Where is the tour?”

Hopeful, charming smile. Please take mercy on this foreigner!

Tea and Murder

Is he really going to stop their conversation for tea. Is he that british? Although tea did sound good.

“……”

“It won’t be but a moment, Mouri-chan, I promise…”  Hakuba stepped away from the girl and into the tea shop, looking back over his shoulder with a sheepish grin. They’d been on their way to the detective agency for business, but having passed the little shop, there wasn’t really anything he could do to help it.

Import cafe. With real earl grey, infused properly. All of the accoutrements. Yes, the tiny building was full of touristy nonsense, but the Brit couldn’t resist.

“Come along, I’ll treat you to some tea, too!” A pause. “And crumpets! They have fresh crumpets today!”

…so much for super serious detective.

not your thief.

[unfamiliar location. but hey why does she care? jumping down from a lamppost she looks around, then freezing in place when called out]

Huh? Oh.. [she looked down] i forgot I was still dressed as him..eh..why not?
[She grins and turns around to the voice, leaning against the lamppost.]

Hello how may I help you?

There was something distinctly wrong about the thief, but Hakuba couldn’t place it immediately… Kuroba had a fairly slight form to begin with, after all, which made it easy for him to disguise as anyone regardless of sex, but…

…Kaitou KID didn’t usually disguise himself as someone else wearing the KID uniform, so… even if it was KID in disguise, things were still… wrong?

Unless this was some sort of a trick. A way to throw him off the trail? No… it wouldn’t work. Not against Hakuba Saguru, the one detective who had any sort of common sense in Japan.

“Kaitou-san,” he said, forcing a little smirk. “And just what are you doing out here tonight? I wasn’t aware that you had a heist planned. At least, I certainly wasn’t invited to one– I’m hurt.”

There may have been the briefest hint of surprise flashing through the thief’s eyes when hands that most certainly didn’t belong to himself reached for the zipper of his leather suit and pulled it down with a care that was all part of the blond.

A quiet hum left his throat and then a small, pleased smirk quirked at the corners of his lips. Hands slid upwards, ghosting over the detective’s arms and shoulders and fingertips teasingly lightly brushing against the skin of his neck, before they settled in his hair, curling into the soft, light strands and gently tugging Hakuba closer.

“I wasn’t aware you wanted me out of my clothes again that badly,” Sylwen murmured playfully, breath ghosting over the detective’s lips. “Then again…”

One hand trailed downwards again to play with the buttons of the other male’s shirt and the thief leaned in that final inch, lips just barely brushing against lips.

"I suppose the feeling is mutual~”

“Don’t be ridiculous,” the detective barked, though his voice was like that of a chided golden retriever’s – more of a ‘boof’ than an outright booming bark.

Though he didn’t move away from the lips or the hands, he didn’t pay them any attention, either; furiously reaching his hands to run over bare shoulders under leather, onto his chest, then back behind him, searching.

Was it there? Was there anything? Hakuba leaned closer, looking over the thief’s neck, groping for anything out of place, but he found nothing. “God, I don’t know what I’m going to do with you… Don’t you know how dangerous it is to go against the Spider?

“I believe you were expecting me.”

“Well it’s about time! I thought you were gonna skip
out on me again,” Akira groused, pulling her good
friend into the pit of hell ie the hot yoga classroom.

“I can’t tell you how many times I thought about doing so… Are you sure that this is such a good idea? I always get too much attention…"

It wasn’t actually true. Despite not having gone to the hot yoga sessions nearly often enough, the class had long since gotten over their shock at seeing the minor celebrity, even in his hot yoga pants.

Still, he hated being stared at in such a way.

Send me a („◕ ⋏ ◕„) and my Muse will become a cat.

It’s a terrible, horrible, inconvenient set of circumstances, and she’d really rather not deal with it, but there isn’t much she can do about it. The body she’s in left her unable to speak or communicate with her original species, unless body language counted for something.

As a cat, it certainly spoke volumes.

With one of her ears pressed between her head and his ankle, she found that the only way she could voice her joy was to roughly rub her head against his leg. She was bound to leave a few long hairs behind, but she didn’t care — strange how aloof being a cat made someone.

What was–? "Oh? Hullo there, neko-chan…“

Although he was at first irritated that the officers hadn’t shown up yet, now seventeen minutes thirty-two seconds late, Hakuba suddenly felt a bit of relief. It wouldn’t do to have them hear him speaking to a cat as if it were a person, after all, which was something that he just couldn’t resist.

He watched her for a moment, eyes narrowing as he studied the details of her coat, looking for a collar amid all of the long hair, then looked around them for any sign of a potential owner. Not that there would be one, of course. Those who kept cats outdoors wouldn’t bother, and there were plenty of stray cats about.

So he crouched down, offering a hand for her to sniff, curious and cautious, and continued to look for any sign of ownership. "Are you lost?”
