He seethed and stood exactly where he was. “Hakuba, take it off!”
After a moment he ran after then in front of him. “I’m serious take it off!!”
He really didn’t want to be surround by a scent that was doing strange things to him. He was still blushing and as much as he tried to stamp it down it just kept coming back every time he got a whiff of the scarf.
“No.”
The smile that Hakuba gave him in victory was one that he didn’t give often; with teeth, bright, so very, very amused. “No, I think not. I think you shall have to wear it until we get back to class. Besides, it looks rather nice on you. Don’t you like how it feels? I mean, it’s not red, no, but it’s still a very comfortable scarf. Very warm.”
The scarf had been one that Hakuba wore often. Indeed, it was his current favorite, though he had others. None that went with is coat quite as well, purchased in London just before transferring schools, in fact. And he was a little cold without it, but it wasn’t that big of a bother. He radiated heat on his own, and his coat – bless it – did a wonderful job of keeping it in and the chill out.
He tried to press onward, even though Kaito was right in front of him, sure that he would move. “The sooner we get there, the sooner you can take it off yourself. I tied it with such a pretty bow, it would be a shame to undo that now~”
