Hakuba was a really good kisser.
Hattori’s mind went in circles again, the poor hamster was starting to run out of energy. For a few moment’s he’d forgotten just why he had been protesting. The feel of Hakuba’s lips against his was nice. Part of him just wanted to close his eyes and let this continue, let what ever was happening just happen. There was no real reason he should be fighting this…
It was when Hakuba pulled back and laced their fingers together that Hattori pulled his arms up, his hands trying to shake free of Hakuba’s as he pushed at his chest, head tilted downwards, not facing the detective.
“Stop.” It was clear and definitive. “Jus’ stop.” He didn’t want this. Not like this, not when his brain had finally remembered the letter, the dove, everything; this was a spell. He pushed a little harder at Hakuba’s shoulders, pushing him farther away from himself and yanking his hands back. “Ya dun really want this, so jus’ stop.”
It was sudden. The physical force that pushed him back was met with no resistance; Hakuba blinked again, eyes widening as he took the figure of Heiji, and his present state, into mind. Fresh perspective on the situation melded with hind-sight, splicing the two arrays of information into one compilation that slowly settled into place.
While his mind worked on sorting that out, the blonde detective was left stunned. Hattori’s words left an impression, and he was just comprehending them when he was pushed again, stumbling back toward the wall. He managed to keep his footing, but found himself simply staring at the other teen, mouth open in surprise. Not gaping, but shocked nonetheless in that reserved, subtle way that he expressed most of his emotions.
“Ah… Hattori-kun…”
The spell. He grimaced. That was what the familiar ache was. Hakuba inhaled sharply, then shook his head, struggling, briefly, to maintain his composure. Of course it was a love spell. Just like before…
“My apologies. I… I clearly haven’t been myself today. I hope I haven’t offended you. Please forgive my… inappropriate conduct. I didn’t mean to… hurt you, Hattori-kun. I’m sorry."
