Tag a quality blog, You’re it! Quality doesn’t mean that you have a lot of followers, or a lot of messages. It means that you’re nice to other people, and you deserve to be happy. If you get this message, someone is telling you that they love you as you are, and they don’t care how much followers you have. Send this to 10 blogs who deserve it. If you break the chain, nothing will happen. But it’s just good to let someone know that you love them! ♥

“Why thank you, Hannah-chan… that’s very sweet of you. And here I thought you didn’t actually care for me all that much…”

image

*laughs* I shall get to work immediately… You do know that my M!A is active… right? Now… did you say my name on purpose? *grins*

image

"Oh no, never. I am a strong supporter maintaining strict boundaries between OOC and IC knowledge. So that happening in character was completely coincidental… a happy accident, you could say!”

((Well now that Hakuba has used up my post-writing time by starting to write The Proper Care and Feeding of Kaitou Kids, I must retreat to bed… Replies in the morning – or whenever I wake up!))

(In which this becomes a “brief” lecture on Kaitou Kid)

…..

Nobody asked for your sass, Gurururururu.

“Hey, now, only one person gets to call me ‘Guru’ and you are not them. Even though I would… probably allow you to, if you asked nicely and pressured me into it."

image

”…Anyway, I’m not going to ‘tap’ anything until I know what’s going on. As it turns out, each Kaitou Kid is very different from each other – yet also remarkably similar. They all have the same basic goals and personalities fresh out of the box, perhaps… but they’ve all had their own individualized character development, as well… not to mention mutliverse headcanons, variations in source material and interpretation, mun preferences…“

"Which all boils down to it being my responsibility as (one of) the only Hakubas to chase down and befriend each one of them! Utilizing my superior detective and people skills, I’m determined to get to know all of the Kaitous that come my way so that I can fulfill their every Hakuba need. Some aren’t interested in relationships at all – friend or otherwise. Others just like the chase. It’s possible that some will want something casual, or to use me as so many others have in the past. Perhaps, eventually, one of them will genuinely fall for me. It’s a mixed bag; you never know what will happen! But that doesn’t stop me from trying. Each one is an individual and must be treated with respect and care, to get to know their own, unique interests and preferences over time…”

image

“I just hope that they all (eventually) believe that I am there for them in whatever capacity that they need. I’ve come to understand Kaitou Kid much better in my months of near-stalker levels of observations, database entries, researching, analyzing…  and I want to protect and help them, to… let them know that I get it. The loneliness, the sleepless nights, all of the work that they put into heists when they should really be living their lives… If something matters to them that much, enough that they’re willing to risk their lives (mortality, physically, emotionally, socially) for it… who am I to stand in their way?”

image

“After all, it’s not as though life is really black and white. Contrary to what most people think of me, I am a dedicated student in the philosophy of Humanism. It is much more important to me to discover the reasons why a person does such and such a thing… motivations and intent must certainly play a factor in any sort of judgment. It’s why I’m always sure to talk to the culprit throughout the investigation – so that I can understand what would drive a person to commit such a crime. Often, they were only attempting to fulfill a need that they did not think they otherwise could without resorting to desperation. Unfortunate, that, as much heartache would be spared if only a little more understanding were given before such desperation were reached…"

"But I’ll be going into that more in-depth when I finally answer your question about the great Sherlock Holmes, Emi-kun.”

image

“In the end, it all boils down to a very large responsibility. Managing a harem of Kaitou Kids is hard work, but it’s a job that I’m very well-suited for. After all, I’m one hell of a detective.

akaikujixyaku:

Okay so I have the word blindfold blacklisted because I’ve been in public before and some things have happened but the point is

It was therein blocking one of Hakuba’s posts and I just stared for a second like

Oh Saguru you dirty bird

I’m so sorry I can’t stop laughing now

image

“And for once I wasn’t even being predatory. Actually, I was behaving remarkably well, all things considered…”

image

“…just goes to show what happens with the ‘appearance of evil,’ ne, Emi-kun?”

magicianinthemoonlight:

KID can’t help but grin at the question. He tips his hat down to cover more of his face. “Now Hakuba… We only have met a few times.“ he laughs, “A kinky thought, but I would much rather keep them off.”

image

“That’s more than fair for an answer, Kaitou-san. I appreciate the honesty. However…”  The detective raised a brow as he glanced over at the thief, one hand on his hip, the other moving to his inner suit-jacket pocket. “If you’d like to avoid the handcuffs, I suggest that you start running.”

The Hakuba (via meme prompt):

“Were I to find you tied up, blindfolded, and gagged on my bed… I’d likely take the gag off, first, and ask if you’d meant to be there that way. Depending on your answer, I suppose, I’d decide if I were to be naughty – stealing a kiss to start – or nice, and simply setting you loose with an apology and an offer to help catch whatever culprit. And then, if it turned out to be a roleplaying game, well… I suppose I’d rather catch you myself, anyway.”

The kurobakaitokid

Was that… Hakuba…?
All Kaito could see was darkness. A cloth-like material was obscuring his vision, firmly tied over his eyes. Tugging on his bonds as he attempted to turn towards where he had heard a voice…
“Mhpppfff! MHak…ku..pff…"
In a muffled voice, he tried to call out despite the gag.
Ugh, this is ridiculous. He had found himself in this… predicament since he woke up… having no recollection of how he ended up like this. It was a mystery… and it had been an hour already. Hoping desperately that he was not imagining voices, he tried once again, mumbling incomprehensibly against his gag.
Release me, damn it.

The detective really could not believe what he was seeing. It really was who he’d thought, bound, gagged, blindfolded… But how? And why? Hakuba glanced toward his windows, which were shut and appeared to be locked as per usual, then turned his attention back to the young man.

"I’m going to take the gag off of you…” Hakuba warned in advance, putting one knee on the edge of the bed so that he could lean over, and remove said gag, being very careful not to get any of Kaito’s wild hair trapped between the knots. “So that you can tell me what’s going on. And then…”  With the gag removed, he shifted back, just somewhat.

“And then I’m going to ask you if you’d meant to be here on my bed. Would you like me to remove the blind fold, or is this part of some trick, Kuroba-san? I’m afraid that I only play games where explicit consent is given; you’ll need to speak up if there’s some sort of ploy at work."
