His arms folded over his chest, ” Sorry but the name doesn’t ring a bell.”
Hakuba lived such a fascinating life. Here he thought his was full of action, guess he was wrong. Hosting did have it’s perks though, being idolized and making money just by throwing around a few compliments.
It wasn’t exciting but- he did love exploiting his good looks.
“Ah, that’s all right…” Hakuba tilted his head, smile fading somewhat as his host withdrew. “Doyle is an English author. He wrote the Sherlock Holmes series. Those are much more interesting than the actual work, so I’d recommend them if you’re curious.”
It seemed that this Suoh was a little more sensitive than he’d previously thought. The detective bit his lip, considering. “Ah, but, Suoh-san, I understand that you’re half French, correct? I, ah, visit Paris every summer…"
“If you love me, dear followers, you’ll follow this magnificent creature at once. Ootori Kyoya is an an incredible role model that we should all aspire to be.”

*** They’re… … they’re doing the little dance that Edogawa-kun does from time to time, inexplicably… I… I don’t know how to feel about this other than confused.
“I do, as a matter of fact. Piano, first, as I’ve been playing it since I was very young and have the most experience with it. I also learned to play the violin reasonably well (because of my love of Holmes, of course), but it is… not something that I particularly excel at."
“ Well of course. I only have the best for my guests.” He said, sipping his tea quietly.
What were the two even supposed to talk about? On his normal appointments he’d sit and tell the woman how beautiful she was. Was he supposed to do it with Hakuba-san as well?
He cleared his throat before opening his mouth to speak again.
“ So- tell me about your work. Being a detective and all. Seems exciting.”
“Ah, it has its moments, yes. I get to meet a lot of interesting people and help them with difficult cases, bringing resolution…” Hakuba said, shrugging his shoulders passively before taking another sip of tea. He looked back at Tamaki, gaze examining his features for a moment, contemplating.
“But it’s ghastly work sometimes, as well. At best, it’s paperwork and court hearings. At worst it’s atrocious scenes and deplorable people.” Hakuba set his cup down, using one finger to pad the action, making it silent as it settled into the saucer.
“Are you familiar with the work of Sir Conan Doyle?”

themoonlightthief: hakubabait: … “Is that jealousy I hear, detective? I’m sure I can spare a few kisses for you too~” “Yes, please. Yes.”
Tamaki pushed his chair in, moving over a bit towards the tea set. He picked up a small cup and saucer and placed it in front of his guest.
He moved the tea pot up, pouring a bit into his cup.
“ You may call me whatever you’d like Hakuba- Ouji” He said softly, setting the sugar bowl in the middle of the table.
He quickly poured his own tea, setting it in front of him as he sat down.
“ Not to come off rude but I do hope you excuse me. I am a bit nervous with our appointment.”
The confession was met from a soft laugh from Hakuba, who reached over to take sugar for his tea. “Not to worry at all, Suoh-san. It’s refreshing to spend some time with someone who is quite so charming as yourself, nervous or otherwise."
The detective stirred his tea silently, smile pleasant and pleased. It was unusual to be doted upon, but not uncomfortable. Though, as far as Hakuba was aware, there were no rules against returning the favor. So flirt he would. He lifted his gaze to the other blonde and teasingly arched a brow as he lifted his cup to take a sip.
"Ah- such fine tea. You are truly an expert at pleasing your guests, Suoh-san.”
