“I-I figured you might, because of your habit for the preciseness of time in your documentations and reports… I’ve taken care to have it synched to only the most correct of clocks, it’ll lose about 1.63 seconds every year though, with the wearing of the gears, so you’ll just have to remember to-" She quit her rambling when he neared, massaging her thumb into the center of her palm anxiously, before chuckling a slight and blinking against the small kiss he offered.
"I’m so happy that you do. Happy Birthday, Hakuba-kun. I’m so glad to be a part of it.”
“I’ll make certain to take very diligent care of it. And, of course, you’re welcome to check on it form time to time. I think I’ll carry it in my inner suit pocket…” Hakuba stepped back to look through his jacket for the appropriate place. “Let’s see…”
The addition would make it three time pieces on his person at all times. Hakuba felt pretty good about this!

Well of course I care about you lots and lots, and it’s almost your birthday, so you deserve all the doting. But enough yammer.
Alright. Here. I didn’t wrap it, because I just wanted to give it to you this way [ She brought forward both of her hands, which were clasped shut up, around the gift, before folding them outwards, so the trinket rested in center ]
I wasn’t sure, when I picked it up, if it was too ornate, or in your style, but I just. Well. It spoke to me.
“Oh, Emi-kun…” He reached for it, slipping one hand under hers, the other to touch the watch, then pluck it up by the ring. Hakuba let go of her hands, then, instead bringing them together to guard the gift as he lifted it up to inspect it, smile soft, touched. Careful were his fingers as he opened it, memorizing every detail as he looked and touched, figured it out. The detective closed it into his palm and looked back at her.
“Thank you so much, Emi-kun… I adore it. Watches are of a particular interest of mine and this one is exceptional. The gears- just… everything about it. Thank you."
Holding the closed pocket watch against his chest, he leaned close to kiss her forehead – assuming she didn’t move away.
Okay so that was overdramatic but my mun just finished packing and I’ve got my overnight bag together and everything’s wrapping up so quickly it seems

My character is lying on their couch, clearly suffering from a high fever, what does your character do?
“Ah, Emi-kun… I’m sorry!” Comforting hugs? Does that make it better or worse???“Mmnft mrry mrrr mm mt." Which of course translates to ‘it isn’t very fair is it’ but no the comforting hugs were very appreciated.
There needs to be some sort of support club. ‘Victims of Kaitou KID’s attractiveness united’.
Meanwhile, at the office…
Hakuba looked up from his work to see that he’d written ‘Kaitou Kid’ in the margins again. At least these were only drafts of reports and not carbon copy files. Oops.
