Good. Although he was relatively certain that he could handle the case on his own, Hakuba knew that it was always, always wiser to take someone with you. For some reason, having a plus one when dealing with drug-related cases often made the difference between being able to talk things out and having to deal with physical violence.
When Kyouko arrived, Hakuba was putting his field bag of medical supplies into the trunk of his car, which he’d pulled out to the front of his house. He waved at her, offering a pleasant smile and a nod of his head.
“Ah, Kirigiri-san! I’m so pleased that you were available and willing to come with me. I’m hoping that it won’t take too terribly long, and of course you’ll be compensated for your time and efforts. How have you been?”
It’d been a while since they last spoke regarding Hattori and his… situation, but he hoped that they could develop a professional relationship outside of that, as well. Especially as things with the Osakan could get, ah, decidedly messy.
