I suppose I can’t deny that these two do seem to share a certain bond… I don’t know why kohai trusts Hattori-san so willingly, but… well, at least it’s a precious sight.
“You can only be so smart as a child. My father worked as a normal employee in my childhood days and my mom didn’t want to get work and home life mixed up. I was raised as a normal child, or what you could say ‘normal’. I may have acquired the intelligence and knowledge now, but I wasn’t a walking encyclopaedia as a child (unlike you who seem to know a lot already as a child). Also, those sporadic cruel streaks are probably one of the few reasons why I do quite like Kaito so much as a potential friend and potential little brother figure. I can’t say I regret developing that particular trait.
