I can’t help but feel that this is excessively violent and that, had that actually been Kaitou-san, would have killed him… or at least seriously injured him. 

Then again, was this from the Detective Conan or Magic Kaito anime? Shame on me for not being able to recognize it right away, but the bloom lighting leads me to think the latter… in which case, slapstick violence is commonplace.

…and another reason why I feel that I belong in Detective Conan more. Sigh.
