Out of that dusty little study area and back down those barely-lit hallways. Funny how back in her “glory days,” the halls she walked down were just a tad too bright if she cared to remember.

Ah, so many implications made by every turn of phrase. Hakuba appreciated the refreshing approach in which Dlanor used in conversation. So blunt here, so vague there, and always in the best of taste. 

The detective smiled and shook his head. 

“No, no; tea will be more than adequate. Thank you, Miss Knox, for being so willing to join me.”

Truthfully, Hakuba wanted to host her for once, but he hadn’t figured out how. No matter; mutual tea time was wonderful regardless.
