A hum passed his lips and he cocked his head to the side, slightly, as if actually considering the request – but anyone who knew the thief would know he was merely teasing and, a few moments later, that familiar, toothy smirk settled on his lips. “I’m afraid I won’t be able to comply with that. My most sincerest apologies.“

Kaitou lowered his arm, the sapphire easily slipping into his pocket. And then he began to move, backing towards the edge of the roof with his gaze still locked on Hakuba and one hand raised in a casual wave. “Until next time, detective?”

It was not a good night to tease the foreign detective, and he raised an incredulous brow at Kaitou to show it. But he didn’t move, standing his ground, watching the thief with clenched fists. 

“…yes, until next time, monsieur voleur.

Which would be soon, as Hakuba knew where Kuroba Kaito lived.
