It is late evening, and there is a light knock at your door. You call out to see who it is, yet there is no answer. Shaking off the sense of wrongness you feel, you decide to open the door and inspect the area; upon doing so you notice a package left on the doorstep. There is no one else around and there is no trace of someone having been recently either.

Taking a closer look you notice the package seems somewhat strange, There is a dial on the front and there aren’t any addresses printed from what you can see. The only way to open the package is to turn the dial to one of the numbers labeled one, through thirty.

You have been sent a “cursed box” Choosing a number decides if it will be a trick , or a treat; and what it will be. However you also have the option to close the door without opening the package. Do you have the will to tempt your fate?

“Well now, what do we have here…? Ah, someone’s playing a prank on me, hm? Well, the only ones that I know of who celebrate Halloween here are the other halfers. They must be trying to remind me that I need to get the Halfer Halloween party underway." 

He considered this while turning the dial this way and that, never letting it rest in any particular place.

"I wonder if this is Akira-kun’s doing? Well, in any case, I think I’ll try my luck with twenty-one: black jack!"
