He pulled the car to a stop in the alley, leaving it running as he unbuckled his seat belt and stepped out of the car. Hakuba wasn’t sure what the damned thief had done or who could be watching, but his car wasn’t exactly the most subtle thing anyway, so it was best to snatch him up and leave post-haste. The long coat he wore brushed against the back of his legs as he pulled the driver’s seat down, folding it to make room.

That was the worst part about coupes; with the top down, putting anything in the back seat was awkward. Oh well. He knew that Sylwen was, above all things, flexible. 

Then he searched the dark.

“Here, kitty kitty…"
