#BLACKLIVESMATTER<\/b><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p>A teenage boy has allegedly been shot by police while holding a <b>broomstick<\/b> in<a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/salt-lake-city\"> Salt Lake City<\/a>, sparking angry protests.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses told local media the incident happened at around 8.15pm on Saturday evening (3.15am GMT) near a homeless shelter in the US city\u2019s downtown area.<\/p>\n<p>Selam Mohammad said his friend was 16 and had been shot in the chest and stomach.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad told\u00a0that the teenager was holding part of a broomstick at his side when officers ran up.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2><i>\u201cThey told him to put it down, once, and <b>started shooting him as soon as he turned around<\/b>,\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/h2>\n<p>he added, saying his friend was hit in the chest and stomach.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities did not immediately confirm the boy\u2019s condition or the circumstances of the reported shooting.<\/p>\n<h2><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/salt-lake-city-shooting-teenage-boy-holding-broomstick-shot-by-police-sparking-angry-protests-a6901086.html\">SOURCE<\/a><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Obviously these pigs were in fear for their lives, or they \u201chad no time for this shit\u201d as we so often see these days. Police who shoot unarmed kids most likely operate \u201cshoot first ask questions later\u201d as a general policy, which is itself illegal and therefore criminal.
