{"id":9068,"date":"2016-03-16T23:26:01","date_gmt":"2016-03-16T23:26:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/archive.gabapple.com\/tumblr\/gabapple\/2016\/03\/16\/barukkatharine-my-favorite-things-about-long\/"},"modified":"2016-03-16T23:26:01","modified_gmt":"2016-03-16T23:26:01","slug":"barukkatharine-my-favorite-things-about-long","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/archive.gabapple.com\/tumblr\/gabapple\/2016\/03\/16\/barukkatharine-my-favorite-things-about-long\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"tumblr_blog\" href=\"http:\/\/barukkatharine.tumblr.com\/post\/141169945556\">barukkatharine<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>my favorite things about long running anime:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>actual eras with distinctive art styles.<\/li>\n<li>really really good animation and really really bad animation, all in the same show.<\/li>\n<li>\u201chow many VAs have died so far?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>no one even knows what the plot is anymore. it\u2019s all lost in the distant past, like valentine\u2019s day.<\/li>\n<li>they have animated that same opening images a dozen times by now, and somehow they keep getting worse at it.<\/li>\n<li>that <i>one part<\/i>\u00a0that you will never forget because it was so incredibly bad it is seared into your mind for the rest of your life.<\/li>\n<li>cell animation and computer animation can be compared in a way that they can\u2019t for any show that was purely one or the other.<\/li>\n<li>that period after Attack on Titan blew up and everything was stylistically thick lines. <i>everything<\/i>.<\/li>\n<li>jokes\/complaints that don\u2019t even make sense to you anymore. like octopus hair. I rewatched the octopus hair earlier, and I have no idea why I decided it was octopus hair.
