Yuuri has shown maturity over situations where there might be jealousy involved. Literally the only time Yuuri could be seen at all showing what could be seen as jealousy is the\u00a0\u2018look at me!\u2019 scene in <i>Yuri on Stage <\/i>in which he\u2019s drunk and pouty and just being silly. It\u2019s a small, cutesy moment.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t to say that Yuuri can never feel pangs of jealousy. Both he and Victor can. It\u2019s a normal human emotion, and it happens. But he doesn\u2019t let it overwhelm him and it doesn\u2019t become intense enough to be a <i>thing<\/i>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jealousy plots aren\u2019t cute, neither are plots where a character is overly possessive, and Victuuri wonderfully avoided that despite the fact that it would be an easy trap to fall into (especially with Yuuri considering he already thinks less of himself, and people are shown to think Yuuri is\u00a0\u2018unworthy of Victor\u2019s time\u2019, which of course they are wrong about). There\u2019s no reason to insert them into canon where they don\u2019t exist, let alone insist that it\u2019s\u00a0\u2018canon\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>accioharo: \u201cYuuri is canonically the jealous type.\u201d No he\u2019s not.
